"I hate to write this as the ladies that work here are nice but I really wish I had gone somewhere else. I spent $55 for a less than 40 minute pedicure - 20 of which was either soaking my feet in the water or soaking in the paraffin wax. The package I got included an “indulgent feet and legs massage” which didn’t happen at all. She didn’t even touch my calves which has never happened before. Even in a regular pedicure, I’ve always received at least some sort of leg massage. The “foot massage” was a 30 second scrub and then some lotion. Again, I’ve never not had a foot massage even in just a regular pedicure... let alone a more expensive spa package. She also barely did any actual scrubbing of any calluses. Another review mentions these exact things and I wish I had listened. I 100% could have done this myself but I decided to treat myself and I regret it. I am incredibly disappointed and definitely won’t be back. The owner’s clearly don’t care much as they haven’t responded to a single review. The place down the hill has better reviews - I suggest trying there and avoiding this place."

"Amazing experience! Extremely clean and high quality space; also the owner Eric is so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend booking minimum 60 minutes as the time flies by. I felt so good after, my muscles are more relaxed and less inflamed. I’ll be back !"

"Everyone is amazing! I always have such a wonderful experience. Tony gave me a fabulous colour and really explained everything and took his time to ensure I was happy. Tony and Felice are the best! Nadia provided the most incredible wash and style from start to finish, she is so lovely and talented! Anna and Izzy are so friendly and welcoming. Charlotte was fabulous as well. Overall I am always impressed with the service and attention to detail that Valvano’s provides!"

"I don’t normally write reviews, BUT their begin leave-in conditioner is everything and more. Not only does it keep my hair soft all while being a heat protectant, it also makes my hair smell really good. The fact this luxury product was created for and by a local family owned salon makes it even more special. Valvano is nothing but the best I couldn’t recommend them enough."

"I got my nails done before going away for a wedding. The experience while getting them done was fine. Although it felt as though the patience wasn’t there. I’m use to having people confirm shape/colour/design along the way when getting my nails done. My mother in law was also told that what she wanted wasn’t possible (she wanted silver detailing and got gold instead). The girl in the chair next to me was also feeling rushed and asking opinions on her nails and the lady doing them seemed to get frustrated and told her she had someone coming at 11am and that she needed to make up her mind. I’m a hairstylist so I 100% understand that if you’re scheduled a certain amount of time then you don’t want to be set back. BUT I was there long after the client next to me left and she didn’t have anyone come in until a walk in at around 11:30. Additionally the products seem to be cheap. I had gold gems put on my nails and 11 out of 13 have lost all there gold and are just plastic. Not cute and definitely not what I’ve paid for. Overall, not the worst experience I’ve had. But I also wouldn’t recommend to anyone."

"The best salon experience! It will now be my go to salon. Anna was amazing, she was on the ball, personable, sweet and so talented and truly cares about what she does. She always made sure I was comfortable and satisfied. Hands down the best salon, plus it's so nice inside and they have so many nail colours!!"

"I've been to Gloss 'n' Blink a few times and I always leave happy. The staff are terrific so friendly. Lynn did my nails today, I absolutely love them!!! I got my nails done again today. Again, I'm so happy with my nails. Rina did a fantastic job, she drew the black painting by hand. I totally recommend Gloss 'n' Blink. Rina did another great job. Definately need to check Gloss 'n' Blink out, you will be happy with the outcome!!!!. Gloss N Blink has another location at 359 Carlton at Lake. I don't drive so, I took at taxi, I wanted Lynn to do my nails. And she did an amazing job. If you're looking for a great nail Salon, this is it. I promise, you won't be disappointed. "Float Love is absolutely fantastic. You can tell from the moment you walk in that they've thought of everything to make everyone's float experience truly exceptional. They provide so many extra touches I was really blown away. Plus, an immaculately clean, comfortable, and soothing environment. And best of all, their float tanks are wonderful. I think people usually expect that you're in a tiny pod with a closed lid, and that is likely the case sometimes, but at Float Love they have a variety of tanks to suit everyone's comfort. The tank I was in was very spacious, had a high ceiling, floor lighting that I could turn off (which I did and I'm glad I did) and tiny stars on the ceiling to provide a truly magical experience that's magnified when you turn the floor lights off. The tanks aren't deep, you feel very safe, cozy and warm, and after a wonderful hour or so of tranquil floating, you're gently nudged back to reality with some light music. You will not regret this experience."
