"This experience really wasn’t up to par. My wife and I both scheduled therapeutic massages, and our overall takeaway was they were weird and not very good. Originally I decided I needed a massage because I woke up with a crick in my neck. The concierge at my hotel helped us book here at Rainspa, and we scheduled one right after for my wife too. My massage was a bit odd. For instance, for part of it he was rubbing me through the blanket, and several times during the massage he ended up resting his belly on my hand. But for me the main issue was that despite the fact that I asked twice that he focus on my neck, he really didn’t do much work on my neck, and I left with more-or-less the same pain I came in with. My wife’s experience was perhaps even a bit stranger. Among other things, the masseuse (same guy) accidentally exposed her breast while she was face up and didn’t immediately cover her back up. He also rubbed massage oil into her hair, requiring her to go home and shower. We do not believe the masseuse was intending to do anything inappropriate, but overall the result for both of us was that it was weird and ineffective. And for the price, we are pretty disappointed. I should note that I said something as I left about him not fixing my neck pain, and they gave me 10% off my massage. Nonetheless, it was as about $340 for both."

"My Mom had a great hairdresser for probably over 15 years (at a different salon) but one day, she was saddened to discover that her "go-to" person was no longer working there. She had to find a new hairdresser who was just as talented, but had no clue where to start her search. I remembered this salon called "Favourite" next to the Popeye's on Royal West, that I checked out a long time ago, which had really great reviews. I decided to look it up again for my Mom to see if it was still keeping up good standards as it did in the past. I was happy to learn that the ratings were still very high and many client reviews reflected happiness with the services provided. I suggested my Mom give them a try. Well, I have to say, what a great decision we made! My Mom called them to book an appointment and right away, she was blown away by the patience, knowledge, willingness to assist, humility and charm of the receptionist who carefully listened to her needs and made relevant and helpful recommendations for her. My Mom went from being disappointed to lose her trusted hairdresser of over a decade to being really excited to try out this new salon. First sign of good things to come was the sweetness and grace of the receptionist. Not only that, but she was able to have an appointment booked for the same day! Once she arrived, she was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness of the salon. Then, she met Happy - who I believe is appropriately named because of the joy she brought to my Mom's life. My Mom said she felt so comfortable in Happy's presence. Happy was sweet, down-to-earth, intelligent, helpful, thorough, caring and very talented. She took such excellent care of my Mom. She was gentle in her approach and she did a beautiful job with my Mom's colour. She also made very good recommendations for my Mom's particular needs and was not pushy nor abrasive like some salons can be. In fact, she was quite the opposite - very patient and humble. She seemed to really love what she does for a living and genuinely care for her clients. My Mom told me she can't quite put it into words but there's something very special about Happy. Favourite Salon did great by hiring Happy, I hope she stays on for a very long time and is able to continue perfecting her craft at this salon and making her clients very, very "happy"! ;) Thank you so much to the entire team at Favourite Salon for this absolutely wonderful experience! It's not easy in this day and age to come across this level of service excellence and I hope Favourite continues on the path they are on. Keep up the awesome work, keep making clients happy!
