I’ve been to Thailand many times and I find Thai massage to be very therapeutic. Not only does Thai massage work on the whole body and touch upon important meridian lines to release blocked energy, it also incorporates various massage techniques - from acupressure, reflexology to trigger point therapy - to relax the body and employs the use of stretching to open up the body to increase flexibility and mobility. Vivian is an excellent Thai masseuse and I found her to be better than the practitioners I encountered at the top spas in the 5 star hotels in Thailand. She is very gifted with intuition and that is evident in her massages. She knows how to apply appropriate pressure and she massages the right points - I highly recommend her. In closing, acupuncture helps with many ailments, but often to maintain good health, a various combination of treatment therapy is required … and Thai massage is one to be included! "Being 31 weeks pregnant I was in a lot of pain, the closer I get to giving birth. I suffered from shoulder, back, hip and leg pain and needed to relieve some tension. I was excited to find out that Sal is less than a 5 minute walk from me and has had experience working with pregnant females at Women's college hospital. When I got there I filled out some paper work and he explained why I was feeling pain and what he would massage. He gave me an amazing full body massage and relieved tensed areas and even massaged an area close to my collar bone that I've never had massaged before, it relieved a lot of tension I didn't know I had. He was very informative and professional. I know I had a great massage when my body feels loose and relaxed! I will definitely be getting more massages from Sal. I'm even thinking of bringing my mother to see him since he's so knowledgeable."

"I think it’s time to bring my frustration on this platform. Well, a week ago I went to Amerispa in Gatineau for a facial. Not bad but I am aware what spa means when you use Valmont products. Anyway, I am not rating that service . As I mentioned -acceptable for this part of the wold. On that day I booked a pedicure service. During the week they sent me an email to confirm it, which I did. I organized my day in a such way that at 1:45 pm I should have been enjoying my pedicure and feet massage. At 9 o’clock in the morning I received a call. I missed the call, so I called back to hear that my appointment was canceled- no availability. I started to ask questions and say that I was not to accept it. What do you think? Bingo! They just hang up. I called back. They did not answer. Or if they answer, they hear my voice and… hung up. Wonderful service. To make it short, this is not lack of communication, this a service provided by bandits. In my opinion, this service is not acceptable. They have no idea about customer service, excellent service and luxury products. I left 600 CAD on my last appointment to a team who has no idea what they do, where they work and what are their responsibilities . I noticed at my first appointment that the girls at the reception were hmmm.. how to say it… not professional at all, but, I told myself, all good. No other choice at the moment. Amerispa, be classy! At this moment, although, you are using luxury products, you are far away of offering a classy service. I do not think Valmont products should be in the hands of amateurs. Really. I am still waiting for a detailed explanation regarding my cancellation. I still want to be paid for canceling my appointment. And, get read of those girls at the reception… or send them to Switzerland to Valmont office, maybe they will learn something if they still have a bit of grey matter… For those who think using their service, ladies and gentlemen do not waste your time and money. Trust me, I saw a lot of spa in my life, but I have never seen a such …. service. Shame on you, Amerispa! Shame!"

"Marie-Love is awesome! I went to see her regularly throughout my pregnancy and what a difference it made for me. I was often achy, especially around the hips, and would feel so much relief after a session with her. She is sweet, caring and lovely to chat with. Every pregnant person needs a massage therapist like Marie-Love!"

"Went in for a TRIM and stated 4 times before it began that I was growing my hair in length and was just in to dust the dead ends and extra weight. The stylist completely chopped my hair off (she easily took 5 inches off). I now have a hideous shag (to be clear, I didn't walk in with a shag!!!) To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I called the owner the next day for a refund, and said she'd give me my money back plus a free cut at another salon with a master stylist that she knew to help me as I grow out the awkward cut. I had to call HER back for the refund after I didn't hear back from her in 2 days after our initial call - it seemed that she felt there was no sense of urgency in the matter. She gave me the refund and said she was seeing her friend the following week to discuss the free cut, which is when I realized she was only offering this free cut to me if her friend would do it as a favour (aka as long as she didn't have to pay for it out of pocket). It's been two weeks and no word from her. It's clear to me now that the owner doesn't care that her stylist botched my hair and took something from me that will take a year or MORE to regrow (realistically, probably more). If you care about your hair at all, stay far away from this salon. If you want to deal with fair business owners, then stay away from this salon for ANY service."
