"Overall: Medicare facial and probably will not go back. My friend really likes Skoah facials and I had a $25 voucher to use on a facial. I’m not new to facials but have never been to Skoah. I called and inquired about a few different facials and was told that they offer $20 off on a facial for first time customers. I was interested in a few of their facials including a Feb special facial and their yaletown promo facial which included a $50 credit on any serum purchase. The associate advised the $20 first time visit credit cannot be applied to the Yaletown promo since there is already a $50 credit. So with that info, I decided to book the February special which she confirmed the $20 off would be applied. Fast forward and I arrive for my facial and I’m told that because it’s a promo the $20 isn’t applied… even though she confirmed several times on the phone. I decided to stick to the facial anyways since I was already there. I understand if it cannot be applied to a promo, it’s the fact that it was confirmed several times on the phone before I booked that is annoying. The facial itself was very mediocre. I prefer facials where my face is steamed before extractions. Instead, a chemical exfoliate is used for a minute and then the manual extractions lasted maybe 2-3 minutes, and my pores didn’t feel cleaned out. Maybe others prefer this way, but not my preference. The facial I bought included a LED light mask which also lasted maybe 2 minutes as most… it was on while I got a quick hand massage. The rest of a facial is just them putting their product on your face then wiping it off. Service wise the girls are nice and friendly. When I went to pay it was a different girl helping me (different from check in) and said I’ll get a $20 off because it is my first time. I was confused at this point. But after trying to apply it she said it didn’t work because it was a feature facial. I’m not sure if this is the same girl who I originally spoke with on the phone, but it seems like some of the staff could benefit from more training on their offerings. As for the $25 voucher I got… I’ll let my friend have it."

"Had my third glorious facial with Chantal. She identified my issues, made recommendations, and has seen clear improvements. It's great to have an aesthetician who knows the damage we did to our skin in the 70's and 80's. Chantel is personable and very knowledgeable. I am truly greatful. Third Avenue Spa also has top notch service. The staff greet you with a warm smile, and while waiting, acknowledged you. Overall an excellent experience."

"My partner booked us a couples' massage, and I was so pleasantly surprised. Cici and Vivi were very kind and friendly, and provided wonderful services. I was really grateful that they had a double room (two chairs, two tables) as I'm more comfortable going with my partner. The room was very clean, the atmosphere was calm, and the towels were hot. I can't stress enough how lovely the ladies were - thank you both for laughing along with me and making the whole experience less awkward."

"I booked it for my wife because of the glowing reviews. She enjoyed it because she thought Lily was great with the massage with the proper amount of pressure. I enjoyed it because there was a (very) small but nice little waiting room. I could watch TV if I wanted to and simple things like water while I was waiting was a very nice touch. The greeting staff at the front was also very friendly. My wife says she will be back so being the driver I guess I will be back too."

"I was really excited to check out this spa, but it ended up being kind of a mixed experience. It honestly felt like the “fast food” version of some of the nicer spas around the GTA. The price was great—$122 for unlimited food, a massage, hot tub, cold plunge, and sauna access is definitely a good deal—but a few things took away from the overall vibe. The food was not great. The chicken I got smelled off, like it had gone bad, so I couldn’t eat it. We notified them and they offered us a free service. The massage felt rushed, and instead of letting us ease out of it slowly, the staff jumped right in, handed us our clothes, and basically moved us along for the next guest. Also, the face cradle on the massage bed smelled weird and looked like it doesn’t get cleaned between people, which was kind of gross. That said, the hot tub and cold plunge were amazing, and the saunas were great too. If they changed a few things, improved the food, and slowed down their past with the allotted massage time, this place could be way better."

"I went here probably 5 times and I have some thoughts. First of all the atmosphere is clean & friendly. You can tell the staff spend effort to serve customers. Some speak better English than the others. However it’s hard to book for an appointment. The first time I was lucky so I got it within 2 hours and it was a Friday. The next sessions didn’t fall into weekend or Friday but I had to wait for 10 hrs (12 PM called for 10 PM appointment) So I cancelled and move it to the next day. They are busy compared to other spas. Another thing is I felt the effect during but not after it for a reason. This maybe personal reference. The masseuses, though, are skilled in their technique."
