"Natalya is an incredibly artistically talented nail tech. If you're more into plain jane she can do that too. Never had a nail break when she does my nails. Randa is also great and is skilled in many services. She is a detail oriented person and is very good at waxing and threading. She can pretty much do everything including laser and permanent makeup. The lash extensions she does are superb and she is FAST. 10/10 would recommend either of these ladies. I have brought people in here with me and they had nothing but good things to say. I had someone else like my lashes and nails so much, she called and booked with both Natalya and Randa! Everyone at the shop is friendly and helpful. Good place for whatever you need done. :)"

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rachel at Refinery House for a colour & cut, and I can’t recommend her enough! From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome and truly listened to my ideas and preferences. Rachel took my thoughts to heart and transformed my grown-out hair into exactly what I was hoping! She also cut my daughter’s hair for us so wonderfully. Not only is she incredibly skilled, but she’s also a wonderful conversationalist. I felt like I was catching up with a friend the whole time. So it says Aches Away own methodology for "No frills" massage.. it wasn't like that, unless "their" method is worse. it started late and ended on time, they used some cheap lotion instead of oil like i requested. the music was weird, the massage therapist did not make the effort to check if the massage was fine, she seemed eager to wrap up. she was asked to focus on the shoulders, but guess what? she missed that part too.. so i don't know what the $135 was for.. grateful if someone could explain that."

However, I will not going to be back anytime soon because on multiple occasions, I have been treated disrespectfully by staff members of this facility. "My first and last experience with this spa... I asked the therapist multiple times to reduce the pressure but she kept the same pressure throughout the back message period. Rest was fine. While leaving, she forced me to tip. On denying, she uttered bad words and cursed me, which is really disrespectful. Furthermore, she even asked me to visit the ATM to bring the cash(despite the snow outside) and then tip her. It was a private ATM with a fee of 3.99CAD, so I thought not to take the cash out. The overall experience was very unpleasant. Ignoring the spa session, the payment part was highly dissatisfactory. I will never visit this spa again and will not recommend it to anyone."

"Can’t say weather Tania is good at her job or not, never got a chance to see her. I had a death in the family just a few days prior to my appointment so I had to cancel. No issues, I cancelled will reschedule at a later time. The day of my appointment I get berated with texts from Tania asking where I am. I told her I cancelled. She called me a liar etc etc. is that how you treat customers? Calling them liars?? No care and compassion, no understanding, just complete ignorance and lack of respect. She’s a nasty woman. I wouldn’t recommend supporting a business with her attitude and disrespect. Also, stop calling me. I have no interest in rebooking with you. Edit reply to Tania: #1 you weren’t rude when I cancelled. You were rude when I didn’t show up to my CANCELLED appointment. #2 it was over 24hr notice. "I was sooo needing and looking forward to a spa day with my sister. I have mixed reviews: Jennifer gave me a great massage and my sister said her facial was very nice. The facilities were super clean and kept up! The disappointment: we expected that we could use the hotel pool prior to our treatments. I have NEVER been to a hotel spa where this wasn't included. We were there on a Thursday morning - like really, we can't use the pool! We were told by the front staff that the pool is for guests! WTF!! Who am I? So we ended up leaving. We went shopping and out for lunch somewhere else - a lunch which we had intended on doing at the hotel. So fine, you won't accommodate your GUESTS, we'll spend our money elsewhere. I won't bother going back."

"Honestly one of the worst experiences I had with a “luxurious” spa. Starting with the booking process, took me 4 hours to get a hold of them to even book an appointment. We booked for couple massage on July 28 at 9:30, they ask to arrive 30mins before the appointment time. At 8:51 on the 28 while we’re outside the hotel I received a call telling me one of the therapist didn’t show up due to emergency, which I completely understand that can happen. The lady on the phone gave me 2 options- cancel the appointment or get a massage only for one of us (what?!). I ask if they have any therapists on stand by and if we can come at later time that day as I booked it for my husbands birthday. She was very rude, gave us no options, wasn’t apologizing what’s so ever. Left us with such a bad taste, horrible customer service And overall experience. Would not go back nor recommend this place ever again!"

"The inside of the studio was quite nice walking into; however, the float rooms need some extra TLC. Inside of the float room smells terrible, there is no music and the light choice is medium bright to nothing. Some more light choices would be awesome. I also wish there was more floating devices given to support the head for those who do not wish to get water in their ears. It did come with ear plugs, but water was still going into my ear. The changing room area also needs a shower curtain or some water bags to protect your clothes from being splashed. There also needs to be a bench put in for getting ready to leave or simply taking a moment after the float in the bath robe they provide. I was also quite surprised by how small the pods are and the lack of water. It’s not very big and if you struggle with claustrophobia, this is definitely not for you. Calgary has much bigger pods. Another note is if your sensitive area is particularly sensitive be prepared for a bad reaction. I wish there was a disclaimer on the website or even in the float room to warn women of the potential risk. I hadn’t thought to consider how it might impact me until it was too late. Do not repeat my mistake and do some research about the potential risk before going. Positives: staff was very nice, bathroom was clean and the outside of the float room was nice. The provided shampoo and conditioner was a cool addition as well."

The atmosphere was calming, and the salt room helped me breathe easier, creating a peaceful environment for the massage. This last instance I noticed a problem with the shellac five days after I had gotten them done at no fault of anyone in particular. "Maggie has been treating out whole family for many years and has always been wonderful. Our youngest was colicky at 1 month old and if you know, you know-it’s incredibly difficult. Maggie was able to identify some issues my daughter was having with her neck that were causing latching issues. After just one treatment we were able to see improvement. I had no idea little bodies could need so much help. She’s continued to work with us and offer her knowledge and guidance to help me advocate with other healthcare providers as well. Maggie is amazing and I can’t thank her enough!"

"My husband and I used the float pod and I cannot say enough good things. First the pod is the perfect temperature and everything is in your control. The weightlessness it provides helps sooth sore muscles and joints — I was having back and rib pain and now this is gone. The experience also allowed me to turn my brain off and just be present. The physical space is so beautiful and gives off the most relaxing vibe and provides you with everything you need. I would recommend that if it’s your first few times you book in for 30 minutes and work up to an hour. We absolutely LOVE Chillout and will be back to float again soon."

Seems to always know where the problem areas are. Still not quite sure how he does it, but it's just great. HIGHLY recommend!!"

"I had a really good expirence here yesterday for my appointment. While we were looking at what we wanted for nails we noticed their new spa packages. We asked if we could do a walk in and we were told we could. We had a spa pedicure, new set of manicured nails and we tried the new hair cleansing spa they have. The spa service was really relaxing and cool. My friend and i were able to get the treatment done at the same time in the same room. They start by doing a herbal cleanse of your scalp and hair which smells amazing. Then after that your still laying on the table and get a hot stone hand, foot, neck, shoulder and back massage. They then dry your hair and we got a cute hair claw clip from the service. I felt really refreshed after and the price was really fair for what we got. The one we chose was about 70 minutes in length but you can get ones for less or more time. The staff were really kind and nice to be around for the 4 hours we were at the salon. They did a great job with the pedicure and manicure and each one came with their own massage. Ill be returning. I would highly recommend this place for the price, quality and if you need a little quick spa day for yourself."

"I have visited my fair share of spas with various therapists and appreciate technique preferences can be subjective. I had booked a 60 minute reflexology session and arrived early. I waited 10min before they brought in the hot water soak and soaked for about 10 min. When the massage finally began it was extremely painful. I had expressed my discomfort but the technique and pressure did not change. There was constant conversation between the therapists which was loud and disruptive. The session lasted about 45 min, about 25 min was actual massage time of a 60min booking. I expressed the shortened time at check out and the response was 'uhh its ok.' With the sub-par experience I wasn't going to make a fuss about the shortage."

"I’ve been following Jen around from place to place for a decade now, and for good reason - she’s the best. I’m glad to see her running her own practice. She’s super knowledgeable and makes a very welcoming, stress free, judgment free and sensory friendly environment. I generally only call when something has gone wrong. My most recent appointment was made because I threw out my neck/back picking up after my kids (welcome to my 40’s…). she was able to identify and nearly completely restore my movement and end my week long pain in a single session. She seems to works miracles and also gives you the knowledge/exercises/stretches to continue improving after your appointment as well. Just can’t speak highly enough about Jen. Don’t hesitate to book an appointment!"
