"I came today to treat myself (33 weeks pregnant) to a dermaplaning facial as on their website it says it is the best facial for pregnant women! It is uncomfortable for me to lie flat on my back at this point in pregnancy, so I asked to have the table inclined a touch. Carrie said it’s not possible for this appointment (fair, but this should be listed online), and that she has never had a pregnant woman complain about that and it is just 45 mins so I should be fine. I said I really can’t lie flat on my back it is really uncomfortable and by the 45 minute mark I think I would be in pain. From that point on she was quite unprofessional and shrugged and said it’s never been an issue before. I said I would need to cancel then and she was already turned around doing something else before I left. From one pregnant mom to the next, go elsewhere. I went to Spa Ritual in the NW a few weeks ago for a massage and they were lovely as ever and so cognizant of the fact that pregnancy is uncomfortable and that some positions are generally unsafe. Carrie, I hope one day when you have kids that you are treated more gently than you treated me today! Nobody (especially a paying customer) deserves that."
