"This spa is magical! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We were running late for our appointment and made changes twice, both times the staff were nice and easy to speak to. The facility itself is so clean and calming. The massage was phenomenal, they took their time and it was the perfect amount of pressure. My neck is always so stiff and sore, after the massage it felt like I had lifted about 20lbs off my neck. The staff know exactly which points to target and how much pressure to apply to each specific area. The way they adjusted my neck and back, was incredible. I am so excited to go back for another visit! To the end the treatment, they provided us with a hot cup of tea and a chocolate. It was a phenomenal experience and I highly recommend everyone should try it out!"

"I’ve been here 2X and this was my last time. They never get better and only care about money. They also are not honest and do not offer compensation for their “mistake” which in fact was them tricking me into coming in for the booking. Here’s what happened. I was trying to make an appointment online with the 25% birthday discount they emailed me. It wouldn’t apply to anything that was already on promo which is pretty much ALL of their services except a few massages + facials. That’s fine. So I didn’t book it. Then a woman from the spa who was the one who also checked me in and out calls me within a few minutes of me trying saying they can book it and will apply the discount when I come there. I said TWICE I didn’t want to book because I can’t use the promo. She said you can come and we can apply it here. I confirmed and asked “So you can apply the 25% off for the 90 minute package towards the $169.00 package price?” And she said yes. So I booked with her and came in within a few hours. This is not my regular spa, this was my 2nd time giving them a chance after the first time my partner and I went and we didn’t like the massage as they are very inexperienced and don’t even use their hands much, mostly their forearm and elbows. I went in, I asked about the promo and price and she said no it’s towards the regular rate. She confirmed she was the one I spoke to and said there was a miscommunication. No there wasn’t - you lied so you could gain a customer. She then offered me $150 the lowest rate from the $169 price. I took it because I needed a massage that day very bad. Figured it might be a good massage it’s a new masseuse. Instant regret at least 10 minutes in as the massage was so sloppy and horrible. It’s like a random person was hired to do the massage. I had a facial at Fluid Spa last week and the one this girl did on me was done so poorly compared to that one and I was just laying there trying to enjoy the massage and facial. The fact the front desk woman who messed up couldn’t honour the discount towards the price I asked and confirmed with her is the main reason I won’t be coming back. I got my best friend a gift card to this spa but I went ahead and made him an appointment at another location because of how my experience war here with both massages and the front desk woman not honouring what I called to confirm with her PRIOR to making the appointment. Won’t be going back and won’t be referring them to any of my clients. Very disappointing experience."

"Devon was great. Professional and calming. Myofascial massage was great. He explained thoroughly (with patience to answer my many questions) his assessment and helped me understand pragmatic ways to maintain the muscles. He looks for the tension, which I like because sometimes we are in so much pain we might not identify all pain points but he will find them and resolve them. FYI, the check in was a bit strange at first (it’s a machine that you just check in with but ultimately it speeds up the processing)"

"I had a fantastic first experience at this clinic! James was incredibly skilled at finding and releasing tension in areas I didn’t even realize were tight. I came in with a shoulder injury from snowboarding and climbing, and after his massage, I was able to lift my arm over my head - something I was struggling to do for a week! By the end of the session, I felt relaxed, and so much tension had been relieved. The clinic was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The receptionist was so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"Cap Health was a huge disappointment, and unfortunately, it’s just another example of why I’ve had consistently bad experiences with places in downtown areas. These businesses often seem more focused on squeezing every penny out of customers than on providing decent service I accidentally double-booked an appointment and explained the mistake to the receptionist in person. I told them I wanted to deal with the issue while I was there. Instead of helping, they brushed it off and later claimed I hadn’t officially asked to cancel. When I called on Monday to sort things out, they stuck to their rigid policies, insisted on wanting to charge my card, and acted like it was all my fault, even though I had been upfront about the mistake from It’s clear the staff don’t care about customer experiences; they’re just there to follow orders. This place, like so many downtown businesses with sky-high rent, is more concerned with being a money-hungry operation than actually treating people fairly. I was genuinely interested in trying their HBOT service again as I found it beneficial, but after this greedy, disorganized, and dismissive experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Avoid this place if you value honesty and good service! Downtown businesses like this one really need to rethink their priorities."

"Let’s just say, I CAN’T get into the energy of 2024 without giving This review! My first experience was an in person visit, and I was convinced to make an appointment sometime for a special occasion. A few weeks later, I looked them up online, read good reviews and dialled to make an appointment for a Retreat Massage for the occasion of my Birthday! Similar to the experience of another review, the lady at the reception was not very enthusiastic about making a new appointment, only a few days in advance, as they are ‘generally booked well-ahead’ and could only offer a 90 or 60 mins facial instead of 90 mins Full body massage. Well, it was my birthday and I wanted to feel good and special so, for the similar price, yeah I wholeheartedly went ahead and booked it. On the day of the appointment, I called them in the morning and informed that I might be late by 10–15 minutes as a birthday surprise popped up. After reaching at the reception, I quickly changed the footwear and was taken to the changing room & given a form to fill that I filled within 3-4 mins. I awaited for a knock in that room for over 15 mins. Was taken to the massage room where I settled-in rather uncomfortably for the facial. I complained about the tension in my neck to the aesthetician as well but that was to no relief. Over Half way through my 90 mins facial, I sensed this process is coming to an end but hold on!! what about my lips? They haven’t event been touched as part of my facial’ So I softly asked my aesthetician ‘wouldn’t lips be massaged?’ And she responded ‘oh no, since you were late, we had to skip that part’ and my brain was like ‘sorry, what?!’ She ‘informed’ me that it takes a few minutes for them to make in house lip scrub and that wasn’t done. She also clarified that this will be adjusted in the final bill. So here I am, getting a facial for OVER 165$ on my birthday to relax and feel good and my brain and body is gripping in feelings of betrayal by the service provider. She finished the massage and applied some greasy petroleum jelly on my lips which I wiped off within a few mins (you can see my lips on the next day. Peeling off. Cracking. Felt burning sensations.) It gets worse after the facial, as the aesthetician leaves the room without saying a word on after facial care or if she has applied the sunscreen or not (it’s 1pm), or just about checking if all’s fine because she was done!! I left the facial room after waiting a few mins andchanged into my clothes. As though there was anything left to be disappointed with, I was in for yet another horrible sight of a dirty toilet and there it was! Edmonton City’s Best Spa with poor hygiene at the peak of weekday daytime. Uff. I ran my way to another thankfully, a clean one. I was fairly billed for a 60 mins facial instead of 90 mins. For an unfair, unhygienic, unkind & unhappy experience. My ONLY REGRET of the spectacular Birthday celebration I had on 14th Nov 2023 is CHOOSING Urban Retreat for a facial that day; draining me energetically and monetarily."

"EDIT: was told to reach out to management and email them, but there has been zero response. I’m assuming their Google replies are just for show. Music in the hall was playing pop music and it was so loud I couldn’t relax as I heard it in my room. My masseuse was 9 min late even though I arrived early as she said she needed to eat because her break wasn’t over. If I was scheduled in a break I’d rather have it cancel than be late for my day. I booked for 1:15 so that I could end at 2:15. When I asked for a hot pad or to change location of pressure it felt like it was a chore for the masseuse. Typically you’d get a hot towel to wipe off all the oil, but all I got was “ok it’s done” and she walked lit so fast. Over all it felt clinical and rushed out. Usually a masseuse greets you after a massage but it was an empty dark hall. Over all not a personable experience."

As a small business I understand that it’s hard but to build a clientele and a strong relationship with your clients there have to be accommodations. I wish your business nothing but success but just how a business can be difficult to maintain so can customers and clients satisfaction and service."
