"A colleague recommended Sage Wellness over 6 years ago, when I was desperate for relief of a ongoing migraine. The therapist that happened to be available that day was Eric and I have been a client of his ever since. From that first appointment, Eric has proven to be very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to posture/migraines related issues. Unlike other RMTs I have seen previously, he offers deep tissue release. Eric communicates throughout the session asking about the pressure used, asks for consent prior to treating certain areas and is also responsive to my body language when working on troubled areas. I've recommended Eric to many friends over the years and some were new to massage therapy. I always remind them to communicate their needs to the therapist throughout the session to ensure they establish a trusting relationship with their RMT and get the most out of their treatment time."

"The best massage I’ve ever had! I’ve been here 4 times and I’ve had Brendon as my therapist. I suffer from SI issues due to lots of cycling and rowing so I need deep tissue work done. He is so focused and seems to be mentally present the entire time. It can be a bit painful because I specifically ask for deep tissue massages, he’s strong and has the endurance to maintain pressure for the entire hour. I honestly don’t know how he does it. I’m pretty muscular with a lot of knots, when I leave I feel like a new person."

"I wish I could give 0 stars. I hate leaving bad reviews but my hair has never been so uneven after a simple cut. I asked the stylist to cut 2 inches off and she barely cut off an inch. When I asked her to fix the very uneven pieces all over she said it was “good enough for a haircut.” After 3 tries of asking her to fix my hair and pointing out specific pieces, I gave up out of frustration. Her technique was one I’ve never seen in my life and my mother was a hairdresser and I’ve been to many hairdressers before - she very carelessly chopped it off so fast, not checking sections with a comb to make sure it’s even or even brushing it out. She cut the sides while the hair was resting on my shoulder instead of pulling it straight and even with a comb. When I did that technique *correctly* with a small layer of hair to show her how uneven it was, she said “well it’s because you’re pulling it down” - but that’s literally what hairdressers are supposed to do. I could tell she didn’t want to fix it and tried to push me out of the chair for her next client. She used high heat on my already damaged hair (I asked her not to and pointed out the damage) and broke off even more at the top + didn’t use a heat protectant. Also, the scissors she used for the previous client were not sanitized before using them on me and the station (and whole salon) were not clean or tidy. Really disappointed because I tried to be very nice but I feel literally robbed out of $75 and have to get my hair fixed somewhere else for an event tomorrow. She was not receptive to feedback on my hair and pushed back when I asked her (very nicely) to even out certain pieces. It’s very hard for me to give criticism or ask for someone to fix something but as I continued to ask for her to do the service correctly she ignored me. Super unprofessional environment - I don’t recommend this place if you want to be listened to and get a decent haircut. Please go somewhere else."
