"This place came highly and glowingly recommended by a close friend who strains her body often. I finally came by and felt amazing! I love that there are different rooms for reflexology and the massage. Peter was amazing, super talented man! Will definitely be making this a regular spot!"

"It was 3am in the morning on Friday and I was in so much pain that I needed to find a place nearby that still had available slots for me on Friday. I found King Thai Massage on Yonge & St Clair, I read the Google reviews, the good ones and the bad ones, I booked my appointment online, picked the massage therapist whose names kept coming up in the good reviews (Benci), and received a confirmation of my appointment. When I arrived there it was 1 pm sharp (the time of my appointment), on my way there I had dreaded the reaction of the receptionist if I had come late (the negative comments all complained about some cold unwelcoming Eastern-European receptionist). What I found instead was an adorable East-Asian young man with a big smile on his face and a beautiful energy! I was the only customer, the temperature was perfect (air conditioning I guess), there was some relaxation music playing with the perfect volume and I noticed the free drinks at the entrance: cold water, hot water and some DELICIOUS sweet ginger tea! Feel free to help yourself in those eco friendly cups. The receptionist asked me if I had an appointment, he found me in the system. Then he asked me what type of massage I wanted. I had checked online (I knew I wouldn’t like the Thai massage, I can’t even crack my fingers ewwww), I told him where my pain was, he asked about my doctor’s opinion as he had to make sure there was no underlying medical condition. I assured him that my blood work from 3-4 weeks ago was perfectly normal. He suggested that I should do a deep-tissue massage and took me to my room. I walked the corridor following his footsteps, and I found the place quite lovely! The relaxation music was everywhere, not just at the reception. The whole place was extremely chill and pleasant and clean and soothing on a Friday afternoon early August downtown Toronto! I loved that bubble of peace. He gave me a clean white sheet to cover myself with once I’m lying down in my underwear. There were two beds, he told me to lie down on the higher one. I undressed but THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR ME TO PUT MY STUFF, no chair, no coat rack… That is the only negative point. I put everything on the window stool behind the curtain. The masseuse gently knocked at the door the second I was ready! She was sooo nice and professional! She would listen to my pain and focus on the problematic areas! It’s the first time (in so many massages in so many countries) that someone actually cares about my needs in particular and doesn’t just do their routine for the requested type of massage. When a spot was painful, Benci would know exactly where to put her fingers! Once, the pain was in my upper back, but she started massaging one side of my neck and THAT UPPER-BACK PAIN DISAPPEARED! I told her she was a magician! She kept asking me if I was feeling better in some areas, and I was. 60 minutes went by like 10 minutes. Even though we hadn’t started at 1 pm sharp, we were done at 2 pm sharp. TIP TO WHOMEVER READS THIS: Get there in advance so that you can have your full 60 minutes on the massage table. I put my clothes back on, went back to the reception, found a masseuse napping on a massage table in the corridor (it’s ok, you do you, I’m gonna take a nap myself once I get home) and I thought that for her to be able to do that, the management had to be kind and understanding. Time to pay. The receptionist told me that he would deduce the $10 I had already paid online to book the appointment and that I should pay $105 tax included. It was so affordable that I had to leave a good tip to Benci! I had a refill of ginger tea and I sat in the waiting room, sipping my delicious beverage, enjoying the peace and quiet… I certainly didn’t want to leave. I wish I could go there every week (no, I’m kidding: EVERY DAY!) The receptionist gave me one last tip: because you had deep tissue massage, sometimes the pain can come back if you don’t relax those tissues, so take a warm shower within the next couple of hours! I didn’t. Wish I had though. Shoutout to every massage therapist on Earth."

"After being a massage client for years, Angela has been a constant favourite and preferred for multiple reasons. The first being how gentle she is in all the ways you would want from a massage therapist at a spa, she is incredibly detailed and effective. Angela remembers the individualized needs of her clients and is always improving her techniques. Very big Angela fan, Rain Spa you got a good one :)"
