"booked a spa during my stay at the hotel for myself and my mother. I told them the appointments didn’t need to be at the same time, but we both got appointments for 2pm. When we walked in the room we realized they booked my mother and I for a couples massage. Which wasn’t the end of the world but it was bizarre. The massage it self was… challenging. The massage tables were so small. If you a larger person or a person with broad shoulders beware. I could not keep my arms on the table while I was laying on my stomach. I was so uncomfortable for the entire hour I was on my stomach and then I was embarrassed to say anything as my mother was also in the room with me. I got a hot and cold stone massage. I’ve had many other hot stone massages but these stones were at an unsafe temperature and left burns on my skin. I felt like I was being tortured for 100 minutes. To top it all off I got off the table and I couldn’t walk as I had thrown my back out. I spent the rest of my trip in my hotel bed. My mom also was in a lot of pain when she got up from the table. Kind of hilarious that we paid so much for this in such a nice hotel. I get massages back home every other month and thuroghly enjoy them. It’s really a shame. I won’t be booking a massage on vacation again. :("
