"I really wanted to love this place, it's so close to where I live. Before booking, I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the receptionist, clearly outlining what I needed: someone gentle, knowledgeable, not salesy; a focus on extractions; and extra care due to my super sensitive skin. She confidently recommended someone, and I trusted her. This was my self-care moment for the week. I arrived early, filled out the forms, and waited about 25 minutes before I was called in. The specialist was kind and personable, but immediately started upselling me — even though I had specifically asked not to be sold to. Midway through the treatment, I agreed to a hydration facial. Only then did I find out the steamer — a critical part of any extraction facial — was broken. No one had mentioned this when I booked, when I arrived, or during the 10 minutes I spoke with the specialist before we started. I had made it clear multiple times how easily my skin reacts and how crucial it was to proceed with care. Without the steamer, the extractions were incredibly painful. My skin felt like it was being torn. By the end, when she applied cooling gels, my face felt like it was on fire. I was told “a little stinging is normal” — but this wasn’t that. Five days later, my face is still red, inflamed, and peeling. I’m breaking out in ways I never have before, especially around the nose and chin where the extractions were most aggressive. Moisturizer burns. My skin barrier is clearly completely compromised. What’s most frustrating is how avoidable this all was. I’m tired of places not being upfront about things that materially affect your service. I don’t think it’s fair that customers are left dealing with the consequences — especially when we’re expected to tip generously regardless of the outcome. I appreciated that the staff were kind and refunded me — but honestly, I wish I hadn’t gone. A $100 refund doesn’t undo the damage. Had someone simply told me the steamer wasn’t working, I never would have gone through with it. This experience was everything I feared it would be, and now I'm left paying the price."

"I had the head/scalp treatment at Eastern Bay Spa and it was fantastic. It was an hour long service which started with a head massage, then she used some tools to rub through my hair and scalp which was amazing. After that she applied shampoos and washed my hair throughly before giving me a neck / shoulder massage. She applied a moisturizing spray as well and dried my hair so I didn't leave with it wet. Overall a really unique experience and I loved it! I would try the other services there, and the staff was very nice!"

I used the same person for years (for that reason) because I multiple pains in my back, as well as tense strong knots that not just anyone can really help. However the woman I was using previously is further from my home, so I decided to try Drift, as it's right near my home. I am so happy I did!! The pressure was great, the massage was so relaxing and the space itself was like a warm blanket. It has perfect energy and ambiance. There were times during the massage where I felt I was also getting 'energy' work done. "This is Touch Massage Bar's second location. I have been going to their King St location for years but I am so happy that this midtown location is closer to me! I went last week for a massage and was so impressed with the beautiful, new space. It's open, airy, and so beautiful to just sit in the lounge area and observe while waiting for my therapist. The front desk manager took my jacket, was incredibly warm, and offered me slippers and water. The massage itself was relaxing and just what I needed to mend a sore shoulder and neck. The rooms are well designed, and I even appreciated the beauty of the bathrooms! It is such a nice oasis in the middle of busy Yonge St. After my massage I sat and had a latte just to ease back into reality. Overall the experience at their new location is just as great as I always expect it to be, and I dare to say this location is even nicer! Only because it's bigger and closer to me :) Can't wait to come back!"

"March 12, 2024 update : I went back again and my massage this time was very satisfying and enjoyable. My massage therapist Wing Sum did a fantastic job. Thank you Jordan and team. Overall it was okay. I found this place from a Google search as I am new to the area. When I arrived I clearly mentioned I wanted a relaxation massage but with a focus on my legs and right foot because of some swelling. The therapist did her job alright but did not give the attention I needed to the problem area. She asked me about other areas as she massaged but not the actual areas I needed attention on. I expressed discomfort over the heat of the table and how it was making my foot uncomfortable, but after asking if it were cramping, there was still no interest or concern over the problem area. I sadly did not get the massage I anticipated and longed for. I’m still thankful I guess. The silver lining is that it was all covered by my insurance. But I wasn’t entirely satisfied. This massage felt like something I asked a friend to do and not a massage therapist. The practitioner I had is supposed to be skilled in deep tissue but I feel the same as before the massage. The place was clean, the therapist is knowledgeable and seems nice."

"My husband and I had been looking for a massage therapist for a long time that would understand us and treat us individually for our back pain. My husband having lower back pain and me having upper back/shoulder pain. We googled momentum massage and came by it by fluke. I was hesitant at first. So we visited their website and my husband and I said we could both decide a massage therapist we would go see. We both wanted Brandy from her profile. So we settled at booking separate times with her. Upon our first visit, we both left so happy we finally found a massage therapist that understood both of our aches and pains. Right then and there, we booked our next visit. We had our second massage visit today, and me being someone very peculiar, I am so happy with our second visit, my husband included. I didn't want to mention Brandy's name personally as we want to be able to book as freely as we could wish but she's that amazing that she books up quite quickly and far in advance."
