"JJ Spa was a fantastic experience! My friend and I went for the wet massage, and we had a blast exploring all the different rooms. "They were able to take me as a walk in client, they were friendly and chatty....seem to have some regulars. My issue is the cleanliness of the place and the fact that they don't sanitize their instruments! I once got a toenail fungus from a salon years ago that did the same thing, I don't ever want to go through that again! They cut my toenails crooked and painted the complete wrong colour on them! I will never return to this salon because of how dirty it was and they don't seem to practice good hygiene with their instruments. The price was OK but not the best pedicure. ....I am so disappointed!"

"Edited: While the staff are 5/5 for service & expertise the physical condition of this location is a 1/5. They need to update the 1990's look and feel. There are no mirrors (or one tiny 5x5 inch one) so after a facial or massage before you go back into the world you cannot look at yourself. The decor is ikea circa 2000 and so bad. The ceilings have tin foil on them for reasons unknown. And the carpets look like they need a deep clean. It's not an environment you want to spend time in 'pampering' yourself. The owners need to invest in this space because it's quite bad. Old: I had an amazing facial with Abby. She was very knowledgable and kind, and I knew I was in the hands of an expert. Left with glowing skin!"

I have been getting eyelash extensions for the past 10 years and she has been the best overall experience when it comes to knowledge and atmosphere . I started seeing her at her home based studio and now come to Studio J to see her. I have had so many great experiences and sessions with her. "Worst experience ever. My husband booked an appt at the south acmt office we go the door is locked. We had an appt for 7pm, my husband then said let’s go to downtown. Surprisingly we go there and two ladies at the front are laughing as I enter. I tell them my husband had an appointment at the South location no one was there. They thought this was funny I said the door was locked can we come here. One of ladies said they need supervisor approval to make an appt at this location. They were able to take my husband in, but the student was new he even told my husband he was new. When I asked my husband how the massage went he sent it felt like he was just putting lotion on me, the massage therapist didn’t apply pressure or any techniques. I’m never going here again. I tried calling acmt to complain but no one answers"

"I’ve been seeing Janai for massage for 4.5 years. She was previously working for a chain massage retreat, where I was a member. That particular retreat seemed to go through therapists quite quickly, and it was really hard finding someone who was good, only to have them leave not long after. I saw Janai for the first time, and afterwards begged her to never leave, because she was absolutely phenomenal. She kept her word, and I continued seeing her for the next 4 years, when she let me know she was leaving to start her own massage business. At first I was dismayed as I had moved out of Calgary to Airdrie, until she said she would be massaging out of her home, which turns out is right down the street from me! I’m so happy to continue seeing her and support her in her career. Her pricing is very appropriate, plus she also direct bills to insurance! Janai is truly the best!"
