First of all I want to say that the salon itself is the best one I have ever been to in my lifetime. Wondering how they choose their employees because I see each one so friendly and just so willing to help you out. Now coming to Kennedy who did my hair as well as my daughter's, she is surely the best. There is no doubt about that! She is so patient, explaining in detail everything she is planning to do, giving her expert suggestions as well as asking us for our opinion too. She did such a great job on both of us. I am in love with the end result ???? and I know this place will be my hair salon until I grow old! I just love this place. ❤️❤️❤️

Today I had an appointment for a haircut and requested a colour consultation at Essence. What an absolute gem of a place. The owner is a pleasant lady who seemed very engaged in her customer's happiness, as well as her staff. I heard her compliment a few employees on the work they were doing while I was there. Her care shows in the positive vibe in her Salon. Their apprentice Kali worked on my hair. She helped me with some colour and style suggestions and even had time to do my colour/cut today. The color she recommended turned out beautiful. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this Salon.

I have been a client at Essence for years (probably close to the day they opened). Every staff member is as kind and skilled as the next! Another thing I love is that they approach their craft with a desire to continue to learn and maintain their knowledge! I love how Annie (that's the stylist I see) is always up to play with colour and cuts that keep my hair aligned with my personality and "wants" (I gotta have the ability to pull my hair out of my face). This is a salon of professionals that have years of experience and thousands of training hours. They use high-quality products and tools. This is not a salon that you pay $20 for a visit but it is also a salon that will consult with you and provide estimates beforehand and leaves you smiling and refreshed. I've had highlight, lowlights, a head full of vibrant colour, accents of vibrant colour, grey-toned blends and anything else you can think of. I've never walked away unhappy and the colour LAST (I'm still happy with my colour after 3mths or more - but have to touch up from growth). I recommend this salon to everyone who mentions looking for a stylist.

Angel is amazing with haircuts and updo for thick, long hair! I've never had so many compliments on my hair before. It has always been difficult for me to find a hairdresser that can work with my thick, naturally wavy hair. I'm happy to have found a great hairdresser and amazing staff at a local salon!

One Christmas me and my mom got gift vouchers here. We wanted to put them into use, but it was actually the best salon I’ve ever went to. Even giving up my hairdresser I had since I was a toddler. The experience is amazing everytime I go there, and everyone is the absolute sweetest, like actually angels (Kennedy especially, she’s my hairdresser) and I get the best results here.

Kennedy is amazing! I have gone to this salon twice for a colouring service done by Kennedy. She is very friendly, sweet and just makes you feel welcomed! Prior to starting the colour service she goes over the different colour options, what you are looking for and their prices. This is greatly appreciated as many other salons won't tell you the price till you walk out with a large bill. The balayage colour and cut she did on me is STUNNING !!! I would recommend her and look forward to sitting back in her chair in the future. Thanks again Kennedy!!<3

There are many things I could say about the salon and the staff but it would be repetitive of so many of the other excellent on line reviews. The staff are amazing and so welcoming. The salon itself is bright and clean, very cheerful without being sterile looking. My stylist Annie is a true peach. 100% professional, 100% human. Keep up the great work Essence - Kudos!

Great salon! Will definitely be coming back. :) My partner and I went for the first time for a trim and had a great experience. We went to Annie and Kennedy I believe. They were just wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable.
