We have been here on a couple of occasions. Both times because my daughter had tangled hair once due to swimming and another time for different reasons. On both occasions they fit us in to their busy schedule and made time for us, understanding the urgency of the situation. Especially since my daughter had an audition to attend the next day (something I did not even mention to them). I don’t know how to thank Marcia and Shenice enough. Shenice took out all her tangles, and saved my daughter’s hair. Shenice can work miracles. I am so grateful to her for her help.???????? My daughter came out with pristine beautifully styled, cut and straightened hair — a miracle considering we thought some of the knots might need to be cut out. They have a tremendous commitment to helping, and are so incredibly experienced —words cannot express how grateful we are for their help and patience ????

Having moved to a rural area, six months ago, I have searched for a hair salon that could cater to my very curly hair. After contacting and having a pleasant exchange with Marcia I went in for my appointment. She did not disappoint! Kind, witty, warm and very professional. My hair turned out better than I anticipated. I decided to have a relaxer put in and with much care I avoided having any scalp irritation. I am looking forward to future salon visits. Wow! Marcia is so knowledgeable and so experienced and I will tell you she is a hair goddess I prayed! My hair was ruined from previous fusion, I went to her she maintained my hair and kept it healthy and saved it! Can’t wait to go back! ????

Went and got box braids by Marcia. It’s nice to see an owner that also devotes their time to their customers as well as their employees. Never been so happy with the way my hair turned out. Was extremely fast, but yet took her time and was very precise. Would 100% recommend.

My adult daughter had the best experience here. Bi-racial with mixed hair type (texture and curl pattern) previous colour and sensitive skin. Marcia asked lots of questions and listened carefully. The process was quick and gentle. My daughter loved the end result.

If you live in Guelph, have an afro, & find yourself driving out of town every time you want your hair done, Marcia's got you! I got a big chop done & I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We had such a friendly conversation while she did my hair, she was very kind, she made my hair look exactly how I wanted it to, & she charged me such a decent price. Definitely coming back for cornrows this summer! :)

Terrible customer service - we had an appointment at 10am - we showed up and they were working on someone else and told us to come back at noon. My son wanted dreads, he explained what he wanted - we did not get that he wanted and paid a lot of money for it. Pure rip off and I feel as though we were taken advantage of. We had to cut the dreads out of my son’s hair the same night. Our son was devastated. I would NOT RECOMMEND. To be clear yes we could have done more research but you are also the professionals - and not only should you have assisted us with more information - we came in the week prior for you to look at my son's hair to confirm it was acceptable for what he was looking for. At that time you looked at it from a distance and said it would be fine! You may have given us a deal but after speaking to MULTIPLE people in the hair care field these were not acceptable dreadlocks and therefore, do not seem to be such at the deal you think it is. To make a customer feel as though they have not done enough research after you had us come in before the appointment AND said his hair would be fine, is really unbelievable. Could I have understood more about the hairstyle? Yes, I own that and accept responsibility for my part! But do not make it look as though it is ONLY our fault - shame on you - you knew better - Caucasian hair?! How unprofessional - your comment sounds as though you knew exactly what you were doing. My son left the salon with a back comb that anyone who grew up in the 80’s could have done. Only this was not something we could shampoo out - we had to CUT ALL HIS HAIR. If we were at the appointment and you noticed it was not going well then it was your responsibility to say something - putting those dreadlocks in his hair knowing what you said in your Google comment is showing that you take zero accountability in your actions as a hair care specialist. Think about that. Sure you may feel we got a deal however, my son, who was balling his eyes out, as I CUT ALL HIS HAIR OUT does not see the deal. I pray something like this never happens to you and if it does you take accountability for your actions. Also, maybe in the future if you plan to make a last-minute appointment (based on the hair stylist's words, not mine) knowing you have an appointment coming in, that will clearly overlap, show some common curtsey and call that other appointment to let them know to come in later - so they don’t need to waste their time..
