I was a little disappointed in this place, it didn't live up to the hype from all my friends who love to go here. I did a day pass for the pools and saunas and reading/nap rooms. They were very nice, very clean. But I didn't feel super relaxed. The areas where it is supposed to remain absolutely silent, many people were not. At a time, teenagers came through loudly laughing and talking and there we no staff around asking them to stop. That ruined the vibe (and the point?) a little bit. The only time I really enjoyed myself was when we arrived early, when almost no one else was there. We had one of the hot pools to ourselves. I enjoyed going from the hot to the cold pool. I really, really felt good in the cold one. That being said, the real-feel temp when we were there was -17 so getting out of any pool into that air was horrific and the opposite of relaxing. It was hard to enjoy myself. Our robes and towels froze into blocks, literally. So we had to just run to the next thing and try not to slip. This would be a nice spot if the weather were warmer and the people were more respectful, I think. But I think overall it just wasn't for me.

Came here with my husband. We had the couples massage and then enjoyed the facilities for a few hours. Thoroughly loved the whole experience. There were multiple warm and cold pools, wet sauna, dry sauna, and different relaxing rooms (one with a fire and tea). You can also go down to the river for a plunge if you're feeling daring. I liked the mint room and wish I had time to try the Russian banya room. Honestly could have stayed the whole day. The snow was wonderful and torches lent some great ambience. I'm not sure why that other reviewer called this place run down; I found it all quite pleasing.

Spa Nordic is day spa located in Magog. Well situated, surrounded by trees and a nice calm river that you can relax in. There are two jacuzzis a smaller one that requires total silence and a larger one, where whispering is permitted. They have a nice large steam room and two dry saunas. There are several area where you can relax and take a nap. The massage and thermal experience was quite nice, the place would require some touch ups (Repairs) to make it a 5 star. Also, as far as food is concerned, small salads for 15$ or a wrap sandwich which expires the next day at 9.00$ and do not think about bringing a lunch, not permitted. Other spas that offer this type of menu allow you to pack a lunch (would be nice).

I cannot recommend this spa highly enough! The amenities were fantastic and they really allowed for spaciousness in all of the hot tubs and saunas - NOTHING felt crowded. It’s a great day trip from Vermont and we recommend checking out Sherbrooke beforehand to make it a full day. We loved going to the spa in the evening to experience sunset on the river and the twinkling lights of the spa once the sun went down.

I have no idea how anyone could give this place fewer than 4 or 5 stars. We went on an extremely snowy night and it was magical. Storybook beautiful, not crowded at all (though there were 4x as many cars when we visited during the day), and so lovely and relaxing. Everything was super hot and felt amazing. Don't forget to bring sandals! I wish we had booked a massage in advance, and we could easily have spent a few more hours there (we spent over two). Can't wait to come back.

A fantastic spa. We dropped in with no reservations on what should have been a ski day, but the conditions were not favourable. The spa is very clean, and there's such a large variety of saunas and relaxation areas that you never feel too crowded. It closely resembles Spa Scandinave near Mont Tremblant in terms of amenities, layout, and the river where you can take a cold plunge. The staff were very welcoming and made the experience pleasant. Would definitely come back! However, one suggestion for the spa: please consider implementing a better system for hanging the bathrobes. I had my bathrobe taken twice and it was kind of annoying. Perhaps a hook with a small latch that goes over it and can only be locked/unlocked with a key that gets left in the lock when you're done?

Beautiful facade with run down facilities. You’re better off picking another spa (especially if you’re a smoker). So not worth the money or time. Once you come into the spa, you are greeted by a hostess/ receptionist. They give you 2 towels and a locker. There is a list of rules printed on the desk which you can read and some of which are: no talking (at all) a part from the terrace area, no electronic devices, and no smoking area. My husband is a smoker and asked if he can step outside during the stay. He was immediately answered with: “once you step outside, your experience is over”. A bit harsh considering the door is close and you are not bothering anyone by stepping outside. This is NOT a detox camp… Once you get inside, you head down a flight of stairs to get to the lockers/ showers. It was tidy and the showers had shampoo/ conditioner/ soap at everyone’s disposal (the only good thing about this spa). Outside, there are hot baths, cold baths and relaxation spots. The cycles: The hot: the two California baths are a waste. The water is warm and the jets don’t work. When asked about this, they said: “oh it’s normal. It’s low jets and it’s hard to keep the temperature because of the weather”. Keep in mind that this was a day of 30 degrees Celsius. So basically no “heat” from these baths. The steam crypt and the Russian banya is also not hot enough but the sauna is too hot. The cold: The cold bath is also warm but on the colder side. Like a bath that was really hot but went cold with time. So no “cold” cycle from this. The little river pond near the terrace, was also very shallow, knee to waist height, and the water was warm/cold. Many rocks so it’s hard to really immerse your whole body. There’s another path you can take that leads you down to the river, where it’s a bit bigger but also knee to waist water level height. Also many rocks and no room to really dip your whole body. Small area and can’t accommodate more than 3-4 people at a time. The rest: A few spots to relax which chairs and some enclosed big rooms. The chairs are mostly jammed together in the middle of the site with a few extra chairs at the sides of the baths. The overall experience was a waste since we didn’t get the “shock” from the hot or cold. It really felt like a warm bath gone cold. Very disappointed in the experience.

I would say that this is my happy place. A SPA in a beautiful enchanted forest, extremely well integrated into nature. A place with special energy. Went there many times and every time I felt fantastic. Love the landscape, you have to walk, and it was built in different levels. Good variety of saunas and baths, relaxing areas... The massages that I had were very good, usually relaxing. The design of the place is very minimalistic and rustic. A hidden little gem, that usually is not crowded at all, which I love. I would recommend a few things that will make the place perfect: free robes (really important), free beverages (maybe some tea or flavored water with fruits or veggies), add music to some of the installations (ex. No music in the sauna by the river or the crypte), have a fireplace outdoors. In conclusion, I love it during the day but more at night. With the lights it's absolutely beautiful, especially in the winter. Keep this place to yourself. We don't want to make it too popular.
