On Saturday, June 8th, 2024, I visited Adrian at Trenz to get my hair done. I showed pictures of what I wanted (a dark base colour with fashion colours of purple, pink, and orange that I knew would require bleaching), and I was very clear that there was black box dye in my hair, and if what I wanted wasn’t achievable, that I was happy to do something else, I was very agreeable to change course and do what would work for my hair. He told me we would try to do what I wanted, bleach my hair, and evaluate when the bleaching was done. I trusted him because he is a professional and has done my hair beautifully in the past, but the results this time were unsuccessful, and I am very disappointed in the outcome. The colour is not what I wanted, and that’s okay, colour that is different than what I wanted is something I can live with. The application of the colour was patchy and inconsistent, I asked for purple, pink, and orange. The majority is a red orange, there is a little bit of pink and purple, but it’s underneath and you can’t see it when my hair is down, the colours were not blended well (there is a harsh line where my dark roots end and the fashion colours begin) which he agreed with and offered to fix, but I am uncomfortable going back to him at this point. What is not okay, is that my hair was overprocessed with bleach, and it has broken off in chunks and continues to fall out. This is a professional, who has done hair for years, that I trusted with my hair. He didn’t do a strand test, but I assumed because he’d done my hair before, and he knew there was box dye on it, he would pay close attention to the bleaching process to make sure it didn’t damage my hair. This was not done. With any bleaching of hair, I expect some damage, I expect it to be dry, and need deep conditioning. What I did not expect is for clumps of my hair to break off, fall out, and continue to break and fall out. The possibility of my hair breaking off in chunks was never discussed at any point during my appointment, and if I had been told that my hair could break off in clumps, I would never have gone forward with the plan. On Monday June 10th, 2024, I spoke with Adrian, who is also co-owner, to ask for a refund, but was told that it is their policy not to give refunds ever for any reason (this “policy” was never disclosed to me and isn’t posted anywhere on their website). I’m very disappointed. This is a professional I trusted with my hair, and now I have extensive damage that will take a long time to repair and grow. I understand refunds are tricky for services, but when the damage is this severe, so severe that it cannot be corrected, a refund should be considered. It is very sad that Trenz is unwilling to admit that they made a mistake and correct it so that I am not out hundreds of dollars to repair the damage they caused.
Bad hair cut the people are super nice don’t get me wrong but I went to trendz because I knew they were more expensive and I thought they would do a better job but my hair is uneven especially my bangs if I wanted what I got cut I would have went to somewhere cheeper because I know they don’t do an even job on hair but I expected better for having to pay 73$ for a small cut and bangs other then the haircut being super uneven I really enjoyed my experience the people are super kind and amazing
Worst haircut my husband has ever had. Cosimos did not at all do what we asked for and it looks TERRIBLE. We will never be coming back. We asked for the length by his ears to be left and it was SHAVED. We also asked for all of his length on the top to be left and about 1/2 of the length was cut off.
I was a walk-in. She gave me an appointment for 1 hour and 20 minutes later so I came back. I was on time because I walked back in at the appointment time. I still had to wait 22 minutes, but that was not an issue. There was 1 person sitting in a chair already. Otherwise, the place was empty except for employees. I said I don't want a shampoo. Just use a spray bottle and wet my hair if you want it wet. He said okay. I had very short hair and was going really short, so he pretty much buzz cut my hair. I was not satisfied, but I couldn't have done it myself (I'm injured and can't buzz my own hair right now, or I would have). $68.00 WOW !!! TOO expensive for me to ever go back. My hair WAS shorter than my teenage grandson's hair, and I went shorter. No real styling involved on my hair, but my grandson is very picky. He only paid $40.00 plus tip. He also did not go back. That's a large increase of cost because I'm a FEMALE. I got a buzz cut like I could have at home. He also knicked my ear with his buzzer. He used NO products on me because I have a ton of allergies and skin issues. I would not recommend this place. Trenz followed up with a response that their prices reflect the experience and education that their stylists have. I call that BULL because anyone can BUZZ CUT a person's hair and probably without bloodshed........
I booked a haircut with Keeva and she was very nice and accommodating. She took the time to understand what hairstyle I wanted and went from there. I highly recommend this place, especially with Keeva, she does an amazing job and is super friendly!
Last time I came here, I'm 99% sure they took advantage of my extremely young looking self and overcharged me even though they did a terrible job since I was required to wear a mask that they cut a very boxy shape around my face. Now it's hard for me to find a place that isn't afraid to cut hair super short like I want, so I want to come back to Trenz, but so far I've called twice and was referred to the website that doesn't work. I have a capital letter in my Email, and apparently the website is case sensitive, so autocorrecting my Email to all lowercase rendered the verification code useless, and the entire "book online" system useless. I hope walking in will work to get an appointment, but the whole point of the phone and online system is to avoid walking in and not coming out with a haircut in the same trip.
So how does “the perfect hair salon” get a C? And on top of that one of the owners slammed the sign on the health inspector’s windshield and is now facing court.. definitely not the people I want to trust with my hair! To boot!! They lied the hair school into Trenz and they got a B?! Absolutely terrible…
Really happy with my cut and colour from Brooklyn :) Thank you!!!
