Best Experience Ever!! I found this gem on google maps and traveled from MN just to experience Wilderness Retreat- it was worth every moment! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank You! From the minute I pulled up, I was in awe of how beautiful and peaceful the area was. I was greeted by Penny the cute dog. It was a cold/hazy morning which I think added to the experience. It was lovely standing by the fire all snug and warm in the robe they provided. Do the cold plunge! You may hate it at the moment, but you’ll feel fabulous when warming up with a cup of tea in the relaxation room! Thank You everyone at Wilderness Retreat for making my day/weekend!! I am already planning my next retreat! ????

Celebrated my moms birthday here. Incredible hospitality and spa. Sauna is amazing and the room and gift basket was lovely. First time trying an ice plunge, managed to do it halfway. The manager went above and beyond expectations. I literally forgot my swimsuit and he not only researched a place close by for me, but also called to ask if they carried swimwear this time of year. The camping style of this spa is incredibly nostalgic and everything was clean. Tea is amazing and I can’t wait for it to be on sale!

Dan was amazing with helping me coordinate a surprise proposal for my now-fiancée, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect experience. Dan went above and beyond to help me plan every detail discreetly, from arranging a bouquet to suit my fiancée’s preferences to the custom proposal plaque and even assisting me plan the timing of the proposal to not give it away at our arrival. His kindness and professionalism made all the difference. The setting itself was absolutely breathtaking—secluded, serene, and surrounded by nature. We stayed at the Creekside spa with a hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, all nestled in a peaceful, forested area. We were able to celebrate in total privacy, soaking in the warmth of the spa and the emotion of the moment. It was intimate, romantic, and unforgettable!

Back in November I surprised my bestie with this amazing spa. We had a fantastic time. Much needed mommy time away, and it was her birthday. The staff and accommodations were perfect. Would most definitely go back and highly recommend.

Wilderness Retreat and Nordic Spa is an absolute hidden gem a truly magical mini getaway. I booked a session for my birthday, unsure of how much I’d enjoy it in the middle of winter, but I’m so glad I did. The cozy cabin, nestled in a secluded setting with breathtaking views, creates the perfect escape from the everyday. The combination of the sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub is incredibly rejuvenating, melting away stress and leaving you feeling completely refreshed. The staff go above and beyond, stopping by every 40 minutes to replenish firewood and ensure you have everything you need. Their warmth and hospitality make the experience even more special. I left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already planning my next visit.

What a wonderful experience at the creekside spa. Amenities and staff were great. We went on a January snow covered morning. Going from the sauna to the cold plunge was so invigorating. Tea and spa music made the heated changing lounge a special place to read our books and do crosswords. plan on taking friends and family back.

My wife and I went for a pre-Christmas getaway. Was not disappointed. Greeted warmly by our host and escorted to the cabin. When we got there, the sauna was up to temp, outdoor fireplace stoked and ready to go, ice bath ready, music playing and all our amenities at hand. Added bonus (and I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing) but there was a wood fire hot tub also at the site. What a terrific set up! Host walked us through the full process and areas of safety to be mindful of…and then gave us our space. He circled back occasionally to ensure all the fires were going as they should. A bottle of sparkling juice was also there. We got a mild winter day so we never actually sat in the cabin portion but it also looked lovely. Highly, highly recommend and we certainly plan on returning.

Totally loved the whole visit! We alternated sauna, ice bath, sitting by the fire, hot tub, ice bath, sauna....you get the idea! Very relaxing. My wife loved the setting in the woods and we will return. Regrettably, some sort of spa attire IS required! Well done start to finish! And, YES- the ice bath is a shock, but gets better and better!
