"I came to this day spa for a body treatment on a giftcard from my in-laws. I do not typically post negative reviews but felt compelled after my service to send out a word of warning. I had the Anti-Stress Body Treatment and honestly felt more stressed after I left. The appointment started late and ended 5 minutes early and the facility was unkempt and unprofessional - there were open boxes of materials and loose signage throughout. The service itself was terrible. I do not expect an RMT-level massage when it's not done by an RMT, but honestly I left wondering if the woman doing my treatment had ever had a massage herself. The movements were frenetic and hurried and no part of the massage was organized or balanced: she did my left arm 3 times and my right arm not at all. The head massage was aggressive and left me with a headache and the hand massage was awkward. She was clearly unprepared or had no training to deliver this kind of service. I was sopping with oil at the end and asked for a towel to wipe myself off, and she said they didn't have any. When I left I paid the remaining balance in cash and realized when I got home I had been shortchanged. I asked for a receipt and they were unable to provide me with a formal printout, it was just a handwritten note. I had high hopes given the reviews I had read but they are all outdated and I wonder if this spa should focus more on the services it is good at - perhaps manis and pedis - and stay away from treatments that have high promise but they can't deliver on."
