What a lovely space in SW Calgary! The spa is surprisingly bigger than you’d think for its location, and they did a fantastic job with the decor and aesthetics. We completed 3 cycles of hot/cold/relax during our 2-hour session, and tried all of the different saunas (the steam sauna gets HOT!). The cold plunge seemed hard at first, but you get used to it surprisingly quick. We also loved relaxing in the social space between our hot and cold cycles — you’ve got to check out their table that draws patterns in sand, it’s mesmerizing (photo below). Everything was really tidy and clean, and the staff were very helpful in setting us up. Super calm and relaxing environment — would definitely recommend checking out Clear Nordic! Great date night out.

The atmosphere was peaceful and calming, making it easy to disconnect and fully unwind. The steam room and cold plunge were our favourites—they left us feeling completely refreshed and recharged. Every part of the experience felt intentional and soothing. It was also very fairly priced, which made it even more enjoyable. If I lived in Calgary, this would definitely be a regular retreat. A full 5-star experience.

I love Nordic Spas. I must start with that. I did have highlights but also some interesting moments. Some details they could work on, perhaps not forcing someone to watch a video before going into a spa, then repeating the whole video back verbally. I found this ruined the point, and the last thing someone wants to do is get some forced technology in such a peaceful area. It is a terrible touch. Also, I didn't enjoy the silent area being cleaned while being in there. I've never experienced this at a spa, and it ruined that moment ...twice this happened. Also the noise from the staff room was so loud you could hear it in the silent room. Happy for staff to enjoy their work but not when it comes to making the silent area sound like a lunch room. Highlights ... their saunas and hot tub were perfectly hot. They squeezed me in with no appointment. It is a very small Spa area but they only let in certain amount of people so it feels bigger than what it is. Their staff are friendly and available. Could I go back ... yes but I do like to try new Nordic style Spas everywhere. Thank you Clear Nordic Spa I did find peace and relaxation in my 2 hour visit ans that is really the point. I appreciate your business.

It was a 4/5 until an unfortunate experience in our last 10 minutes. We arrived a little anxious about our booking, as we were anxious about the space being body inclusive and in a more affluent side of the city. The training video only showed a fit couple enjoying the space, but we took note of the rules and did our best to follow - no phones, no talking, shower often. In the women’s change room, it was very busy on my arrival and hard to access a locker and change. My husband and I were relieved to see bodies of many shapes and sizes inside though, and had a relaxing 1:45 time. In our last 15 minutes, a very fit woman and a partner were sharing the sauna with us. They were doing yoga on the benches, which was distracting and uncomfortable to watch when we were trying to relax quietly, but each to their own we thought. Then the woman was upset that we turned the timer we didn’t know she’d set, and was wondering about our sandals being on our feet on a bench where people sit. Sure, shoes are dirty, but so are feet. My husband put my shoes on the ground after this as I was sitting cross legged, and asked if that was what she was getting at, or were hit sandals offensive too. She said we’d have to decide for ourselves if we were following the rules if the space. So we cut our session short and left feeling very insecure and disappointed after a mostly positive experience.

Had a wonderful first experience at Clear Nordic Spa and became a member so I look forward to going back. The facilities are beautiful, clean and serene. I like the different options of sauna, steam and infrared sauna. I’m new to hydrotherapy but I am very excited to have an option in the city for me to incorporate it into my wellness routine.

We had the most incredible experience at the Nordic Spa today! The intentionality behind the design is truly impressive—every detail felt so well thought out and calming. We especially appreciated the alcohol-free environment and the intentional quietness of the space. It created such a peaceful atmosphere and really allowed us to fully disconnect and unwind. It honestly felt like we were transported to another world. For a little while, we forgot we were even in the city. We left feeling sooo zen, grounded, and genuinely rejuvenated. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. Highly, highly recommend!

I liked this location, it doesn't feel pretentious. The clientele is more suburban middle ages people, so I felt more comfortable than at the downtown spas populated by young hot people. It's serene, and they have done a lot with the space they have. I love that the main room does not allow talking. It feels like an oasis. I just did hydrotherapy so I can't comment on the other services. The tea in the social lounge was really an acquired taste... Licorice is not ever going to be that popular I suspect. Maybe the flavour changes day to day? My only real complaint is that it's a bit pricey for two hours. The stunning Nordic spa in Kananaskis is $140 or so for the whole day in a much bigger fancier facility. The city pool is $8 for access to a steam room and hot tub and such. So, over $70 for two hours... Well, it's not a ripoff or anything, it's just that there is a lot of quiet time to sit and think about how long you have to work to pay for the experience. The price is comparable to other spas in the city. I'll probably still return because clearly I'm a person who needs to chill out.

Nice relaxing ambience. I appreciate the no talking policy. It’s nice that you’re forced to leave your phone in the locker so you can fully unplug and enjoy your experience. The social room is a nice addition for those who want to have a chat. The only thing that I would like to see is maybe a small snacks menu and some more chairs to sit on while resting as those can fill up pretty quickly. Would love to be back!
