"This is my new destination for relaxation! My business, Emerald Day Spa, is a boutique spa without amenities, so when clients ask for a space with those offerings, this is definitely where I’ll be sending them. The space is bright, clean, welcoming, and so much fun. The community aspect of this experience was unlike any other. I often find that people can be a bit reserved in open-concept spaces, but not here—everyone was open and friendly, which made the experience even better. Christine at the front desk was absolutely fabulous—warm, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. At first, we were a little surprised to pay before starting the circuit, but by the end, it was actually a relief not to worry about payment after such a relaxing experience. A few small suggestions that could make the experience even better: an extra towel for our hair, a second blow dryer, and some body lotion in the bathroom I’m really looking forward to trying the silent circuit, and I’ll definitely be back with my girlfriends for ladies' night! After two hours at Ritual, I felt 1,000 pounds lighter—I highly recommend it!"

"Absolutely love this experience every time. Staff are friendly; services and facilities are top notch; and I love recently the temp of the wet sauna has gone back up, which shows me Ritual management is responsive to feedback. The atmosphere is very Nordic/Scandinavian, being minimalist and cozy, which I appreciate. If I were to say anything - I did like the the tea in the Himalayan salt room (which isn’t there anymore?), that was a nice way to chill out between sessions. But honestly - I have really have no complaints…it’s the perfect adult ‘time out.’ ♥️"

"Baffled at some of the negative reviews. The space is well thought out, very clean and the staff fantastic. The sauna gets plenty hot and I’ve gone at peak hours and had to wait 5 minutes maximum for a seat.the value for money is quite reasonable, especially if you buy a pack. If I had any feedback it would be to figure out some ventilation in the rest room as it can get a bit smelly/ripe in there."

"I have been going to Ritual since it opened and it has slowly gone down hill. Initially there were small rolled towels you could take into the dry sauna but now those are gone. They say this is for environmental reasons but it’s clearly cost cutting. They are booking in more people than they used to - even at peak hours so you feel like a sardine. They have lowered the temp in the wet sauna (another excuse about some customer getting light headed - no doubt this is also cost savings). So everyone goes to the dry sauna making it even more crowded. Patrons have started trying to mess with the temp gauge in the west sauna to make it hot enough to enjoy. They removed the ice machine outside, while it was always gimmicky it’s just another amenity that is now gone. Last time I was there (January 2024) one of the heaters in the dry sauna was making some wild and worrying noises and the wooden scoop to put water on the heater was straight up broken and useless. People were using their plastic drinking cups to put water on the heaters. The amenities and experience has plummeted. I won’t be going back - and I was an original adopter. Very sad."

"I attended today for the first time visiting the spa with a wonderful friend who brought me for a birthday gift! It was absolutely amazing! I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and can't wait to go back! The staff as well as the facilities were wonderful! Would highly recommend Ritual to anyone."

"Place itself is small but well maintained. There is a lot of talking in the sauna. There is also a small steam room, and a room for relaxation. Reason for 3 stars, is that they relentlessly spammed my email after i went here, like three emails a week --- even though i asked not to be on a mailing list!"

"I’m visiting Victoria and here to decompress. I googled hot stone massages and to be honest, the spas were so expensive downtown Victoria that’s why I picked this place. I’m so happy I did. I was able to get in the day I called - and the best 90 minutes in my life, and money well spent. I love hard pressure, and that’s what I received. I feel amazing and so relaxed. I will definitely return every time I visit Victoria. It topped my massages I had in Bali :) And a cute cup of water was waiting for me at the end."

"Went in today to get a couples massage. 1 hour body massage and 30 minutes body scrub! The overall experience was exceptional. The masseuse were professional and courteous. The rooms were very clean, and the ambiance was very peaceful. Loved the experience."

"The facial was good better than the money I burnt in another salon’s however im not too sure about the quality of the products they neither smelll great nor do they feel good on your skin.One of the balmes she used on my skin smelled like a Vaseline you put on your feet. Therefore, they lose a star or two."

"we really really enjoyed our Facial. they used multiple products that felt great and also included hand and foot massage while the face masks set which was an added bonus. the price is very reasonable compared to other spas in Victoria. unfortunately I can't rate it a 5 because scheduling was very difficult and they had to cancel our initial booking until a later date. Besides that it was superb and we will return."

"Went Kanokwan Thai Spa a couple days ago desperate to get a massage as my lower back shoulders and hips were in pain. My husband comes here every few months and he called Kanokwan Thai Spa and they booked me in the same day for a 90 min massage. Angier was my Massage Practitioner and she was heaven sent! Every single knot was gone and I left rejuvenated and so relaxed. The massage is different from any traditional massage I received in the past and I loved that it is so effective. She paid attention to every detail and checked to see how I am doing which I appreciated so much. I like how she wiped the oil off with warm towels on each section she worked on which is a great touch since I hate leaving my massage appointments all greasy and cold. The stretch in the beginning is awesome as well - there is just so many good things to say! Overall my experience there is beyond excellent and I look forward to coming there more often. "Great spot for a reasonably priced, high quality massage! Me & my husband had been to Thailand many times and found their techniques so soothing & so we decided to try the local Thai massage here in Victoria and it was phenomenal. These ladies are experts ! We will definitely come back!"

"The masseuse had her phone out and on during a couples massage and the owner will not pick up or respond to any of my calls about this concern. It is absolutely unacceptable to have anything that takes photos while people are in a vulnerable position. This is deeply concerning. Do NOT get a massage at this spa. It was a horrific experience once we realized how exposed we were."
