I had an excellent Spa Experience here. I had the Beauty Spa Treatment. I got a Manicure, a Pedicure and lastly I got a Facial. It was really relaxing. Afterwards, I went to the pool. Which was okay.
Horrible horrible experience. I have never been talked so rudely by a reception staff in my life. I was looking forward to my massage for months. I was only 5 minutes late due long line at checkout and the receptionist rushed me and I immediately was filled with anxiety and stress in a what was supposed to be relaxing environment. She didn’t provide any locker key, robe, I had to ask her to store my luggage, she didn’t proactively try to help at all. During the massage I was freezing cold, this is not a luxury experience. They use cream not hot oil. Even at places half the cost use better product. After the massage I asked why she can’t offer me a robe and the receptionist became so defensive and rude. Was starting to argue with me and told me she doesn’t know what to do and was making me feel like as a customer I owed her something. She told me she’s never heard this before but I don’t care about others experience this is MY experience. Instead of trying to help and midigate the issue I left feeling horrible and now I’m filled with anxiety and stress instead of relaxing. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go to Nordik Spa. Same cost for a massage and way better service. Please change your receptionist she is extremely unprofessional and rude.
Spa is good in general if you are not staying in the hotel and coming for a relaxing massage + to use the water facilities. If you are a hotel customer it’s definitely not worth it, overpriced.

I was not satisfied with my experience, mostly because of the poor quality of the pools and hot tubs experience that the hotel offers but the costumer service of Amerispa is impressive. Amerispa contacted me and gave me a fair compensation. I would recommend them.
I think it’s time to bring my frustration on this platform. Well, a week ago I went to Amerispa in Gatineau for a facial. Not bad but I am aware what spa means when you use Valmont products. Anyway, I am not rating that service . As I mentioned -acceptable for this part of the wold. On that day I booked a pedicure service. During the week they sent me an email to confirm it, which I did. I organized my day in a such way that at 1:45 pm I should have been enjoying my pedicure and feet massage. At 9 o’clock in the morning I received a call. I missed the call, so I called back to hear that my appointment was canceled- no availability. I started to ask questions and say that I was not to accept it. What do you think? Bingo! They just hang up. I called back. They did not answer. Or if they answer, they hear my voice and… hung up. Wonderful service. To make it short, this is not lack of communication, this a service provided by bandits. In my opinion, this service is not acceptable. They have no idea about customer service, excellent service and luxury products. I left 600 CAD on my last appointment to a team who has no idea what they do, where they work and what are their responsibilities . I noticed at my first appointment that the girls at the reception were hmmm.. how to say it… not professional at all, but, I told myself, all good. No other choice at the moment. Amerispa, be classy! At this moment, although, you are using luxury products, you are far away of offering a classy service. I do not think Valmont products should be in the hands of amateurs. Really. I am still waiting for a detailed explanation regarding my cancellation. I still want to be paid for canceling my appointment. And, get read of those girls at the reception… or send them to Switzerland to Valmont office, maybe they will learn something if they still have a bit of grey matter… For those who think using their service, ladies and gentlemen do not waste your time and money. Trust me, I saw a lot of spa in my life, but I have never seen a such …. service. Shame on you, Amerispa! Shame!
Terrible spa experience. Supported them through the pandemic with purchase of multiple gift certificates. Bought a special Mother’s Day package. When arrived with mom to get our treatments, we had the first one (which went fine) then were promptly forgotten in the wait room. After 30 min I asked what was going on and was told to go back to waiting area. After 60 min I went back to reception desk and they finally admitted they had no one to do the other 2 treatments and they didn’t even have the product to do one. I asked why they hadn’t informed me of this before we came, or when we arrived or when I first came to ask what was going on. They had no answer. We left completely astounded by the lack of service and misleading communication. The manager called to apologize. I told her I was willing to pay the cost of the treatment we got but wanted a reimbursement for those we didn’t get. She agreed and confirmed how I had paid for the package. It’s been a week and they never processed the reimbursement. At the price their services cost you would expect not to feel robbed but here we are. NEVER AGAIN.
Lack of communication. Because of the strike, there was no food or drink available. I was not made aware ahead of time. It did not feel like a spa atmosphere because there were children there. There were no staff walking around to see if everything was going well. Staff that were there were talking amongst themselves. I will edit that the owner did reach out to me and offered a voucher for a redo. I will change my star rating to a 3 to say thank you.
