So glad we visited. As others have said, we were slightly apprehensive due to the area, but needn't have worried. We booked a couple's massage and sauna package online. On arrival we had a very friendly welcome followed by a quick tour of the layout. We were massaged in the same room (and it was one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had) followed by 50 minutes in a private sauna area with showers. Everything was clean and well maintained.

The negative reviews about the guy at the reception are fake and almost made me think twice before booking. I’m thankful for the positive reviews from local guides that encourage me to try this place out. The gentleman at the reception is absolutely fantastic! He was very kind and friendly and took time to show me around and explained everything. I felt welcomed and appreciated and that made my experience even better! I started with a 90 minutes premium steam sauna, I love the idea of a private sauna and shower to myself. It was great and clean and I was provided with a clean towel to use. I felt the need for a massage after but unfortunately they were fully booked but they had an availability for reflexology! And Im so glad I tried it. Alex was wonderful and his strong hands relieved months of tiredness and tension in my lower legs and feet! I never knew I needed this but Im already planning on getting it on a regular basis as Im feeling so much better. Overall I would rate this place 10/10! I totally recommend it!

I had an amazing experience here! The service was good, the masseuse was professional and very friendly. The amenities were well stocked and there was lots of cool history facts I didn’t expect to learn coming here. Highly recommend this place, ask for Susan and Eva!

Just had a wonderful massage with Susan. She did a great job relieving my neck pain and did a thorough massage that was very relaxing. The spa is probably one of the cleanest places that I have been to. I also like their new infrared saunas that you can enjoy after the massage. The location is close to Strathcona Village that has many interesting shops and cafes to visit after your treatment. I would highly recommend this spa.

My partner and I enjoyed the “Foot 50 + Body 50 + Sauna” package, and we were absolutely blown away by the value and quality of the services. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most welcoming and charismatic gentleman at the front door—he’s truly “Mr. Personality!” The reflexology specialist was incredible, with a deep understanding of the body and a knack for targeting areas that needed attention. Their professionalism and skill helped relieve tension and promote healing, making it one of the best massages we’ve ever experienced. The sauna and amenities were another highlight. The sauna is spacious and truly one of the best we’ve encountered, making for an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I’ve been to many destination spas in my lifetime, and while Hastings Spa may be humble in appearance, the service and quality are absolutely top-notch. This place is a hidden gem, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious spa experience without breaking the bank. We’ll definitely be back!

Got a couples massage with my partner, I’ve been going to RMTs for a long time and definitely one of the best massages I’ve had. Very friendly staff gave us a tour of the facility and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

This place is such a great little secret in this neighbourhood. I’ve been going here for 20 years and it’s always been great. It’s not fancy or high-end, but staff are friendly and it’s always clean. This is good for an everyday steam, and the price point is pretty good.
