Edit in response to owner: you did not offer or even mention, a refund. Stop lying. I really wanted to like this salon but I'm not sure what happened. My hair was cut quite unevenly and "chunky" and the hair dresser didn't even touch my bangs. I even mentioned during the cut that I have curtain bangs, she didn't trim them at all. My hair was cut by one of their most senior hair dressers, and they offered for me to come back in to get my hair fixed, but I mean if this is what one of your lead stylists does, I don't want to see what the others do. I think a big bulk of the positive reviews are from family and friends. I should of listened to my gut when I read the yelp reviews because those are mainly negitive and are more on par with their service.

I went here in a panic after a colour job gone majorly wrong… I went in crying and panicked and asked to talk to a hairdresser. The help I received was unreal awesome- the owner helped me sort out a quick plan and booked me in with a stylist. I went and saw Jaya and she was amazing! She took her time with the consult making sure she knew what I wanted-she assured me it could be done. After Google images we found one colour that I liked and she totally fixed my hair!! I went in To get a cut and colour. I showed an inspiration pic and told her that I wanted a pink coral colour. I got bright orange with a hair cut that was barely enough to count as a trim. When I got home in proper lighting I could really see how bad the colour was. I called the salon right away and was told that it will fade with a wash to the colour I wanted. So I suggested I wash it and see what happens and I would call her back , the person I spoke with ok’d this action. It remained a bright orange and not anywhere close to the Colour I requested. They said to come back and they would try to fix it. I went back the same day I was given 2 volt choices a vey light pink coral o which I was told would wash out in 2-3 washes or this red colour that would wash out to the colour I asked for in about 2 weeks. So I went with the darker colour. It came out this awful red. I was very shocked and disheartened and near tears. I was then encouraged by the hair dresser and another as well not to be worried it would wash out by two weeks to the colour I wanted. I felt very pressured into accepting this. When I woke up the next day I felt worse I spoke to the manager and requested my money back, she offered a greatest at fixing my hair and I refused as I didn’t think they had the skill to repair it to what I wanted and just wanted to have a refund so I could go else where and get it fixed. They refused saying that I was told it would get to the colour I wanted in about 2 weeks. The manager I spoke with basically put the blame on me. I felt like I was being gas lighted by the 2 hair dressers who ganged up on me to get me to leave and trust their word that all would be ok, as well as by the manager who turned the blame on me. Stating because I knew what was happening it was my fault. She did how ever offer to fix it but I firmly believe that the third time is not the charm, can u blame me for not giving it another chance. The problem I have is that not once did they take responsibility for their mistake laying the blame on me. After I consulted another hair dresser I knew, and was given the opinion that this was not going to be the case. I ended up paying another hair dresser to fix it. I will never go back there again. A hair dresser should know their limitations and should have said this is not going to work for you. This hair dresser was rated as experienced by the salon so I trusted when she said no problem I can do this. The 1st pick is the inspiration pic with the Xavier that I wanted the pink coral, the 2nd is the first attempt, the 3rd is the second attempt. Very unhappy customer and would not recommend this salon to anyone. The last pic is the final fix with what she had to work with it was an amazing job.

I've had my hair done for many many years. Over the years I've only felt mildly ok with how they did my hair. I saw Carries post on Facebook and I signed up! I'm so glad I did!! Kiley listened to what I wanted and got exactly it. I highly recommend coming here. The people and atmosphere are so wonderful! I will be coming here from now on. Thanks so much!!

I’m updating this review to reflect the shocking after sale customer service received from Rock Spa. This is a long review, so if you just want the summary - All I wanted was for my colorist to talk to me about how my hair turned out - I was told all concerns with your hair must go through reception. You may not speak to your service provider. They would not look at my hair. - Careful of reviews – they offer gifts in exchange for showing 5-star reviews Nightmare post sale customer service. They seem to do fine work, but you may be in trouble if you run into an issue. I ignored my instincts on the aggressive and combative replies to negative reviews posted here, trusting in the large number of positive 5-star reviews. Unfortunately, it turns out that those 5-star reviews may be in response to an offer of free samples advertised in store if you show a completed 5-star review to them. I had a Balayage done by Lidia. Both the owner Chantel Bourgeois, and her master colorist Lidia, were initially so kind to me. Chantel listened to all my concerns over the phone about what went wrong with my last color from another salon and reassured me that Lidia was the best and would take great care of me. Lidia spent 45 minutes on an in person consultation with me, quoting me an exact price for the work she would need to do. My appointment with Lidia started well but ended up running longer than she had planned. I was handed off to Chantel to finish my cut and style so that Lidia could go to her next customer. As Chantel finished, I said that my hair was a little dark in the front, which was where Lidia had to rush a bit before her next client came in. Chantel said she felt it would lighten up with sun exposure and washing. Given the assurances about customer satisfaction through the process, I was okay with waiting to see if it lightened as she suggested. They took a bunch of pictures of the back of my hair which looked great. When I paid there was a minor difference between what they had quoted and what they were charging but they honored the quote which was nice. I showed my 5 star review, took my samples, and left. When I restyled my hair at home, I could see there wasn’t enough blonde in the front left, making my hair there look dark and different from the rest, as well as a random blonde streak that had come out copper. I assumed this was a super quick fix, and I called the salon to see if I could talk to Lidia about her looking at my hair and seeing if she or an apprentice could quickly address it. I spoke with the receptionist Shay, Chantel’s daughter. Shay said that customers can’t speak with staff, and all concerns must go through her. I explained my issue with the lack of blonde in the front left of my hair. Shay said that she had seen my pictures, and my hair looked fine. I explained to her that those pictures were of the back of my hair, and the issue was the front left. Shay then said that Lidia was a master colorist, whatever she did must have been appropriate. I was free to buy another coloring service from them and they would fix it, but they had already spent too much time on my hair for what they charged, even though they had done a 45-minute consult with me and provided me the quote based on that. Ultimately, I simply asked for a whole $20 tip back and for someone to call me just to listen to my concerns or I’d change my 5 star review as this was no longer a great experience. Shay challenged that I had been given a gift for that review, which I offered to return unopened. In the end, she agreed I could come in and she would refund the tip. 5 minutes later Shay called me back saying she had talked to Chantel, and they would not return the $20 and I was denied any further service from them for saying I would change my review I am so shocked how downhill this went. I would recommend paying close attention to the negative reviews here, and especially to the way that the salon responds to them, including this one. Good luck.

Tara was so great, she did a great job on my long hair. The salon is super nice and the products they use are all Aveda. Had a fantastic experience as a first- timer at the Rock. Thanks ladies!

Today was my first time going to Rock Salon and I saw Tyra for a cut. Seeing a new stylist for the first time is terrifying for me but Tyra had me feeling 100% at ease within a minute!! Tyra is very easy to talk to, is professional, knows her stuff and gave me a fabulous haircut! She also took the time to explain the process we need to follow to get me to my hair goals! The salon itself is bright & lovely ((with parking!!) and everyone is terrific! Great vibe here overall! Recommended!!!
