I purchased the buy 1 get 1 free promo during the holidays. I didn't realize the promo cards had an expiration date as I did not receive any type of reminder. Booked a facial appointment and when I walked in I was told my 3 promo cards had expired and I now had to either pay fill price for facial or a $50 cancelation fee even though I had shown up. Manager wasn't willing to do anything. Horrible customer service and will never go back or recommend them again!

Today I visited them for the first time, they welcomed me very kindly and fortunately they had a 30 minute appointment available, so I didn't miss the opportunity and had the massage, the therapist's name is David Symonds, who was very kind and excellent in his job. The waiting room is nice and they have products for sale on display. They have several rooms comfortably prepared to perform therapeutic massage and other services. They have the possibility of becoming a member by paying a therapeutic massage or facial per month (subscription that is debited monthly from the card you assign) which means that once a month you can go and have your therapy done, but additionally if you want to have another service done the same day or another day at special rate. In my case I have insurance with partial coverage for therapeutic massage and I can make the reimbursement with the receipt they gave me.

The quality of work was perfect, the laser staff were polite and caring and professional! But watch out for overcharging!! The front desk are so in rush and inpatient when call you that you can’t book an appointment while that is their fault to cancel. The very first I asked was if you have service in the afternoon, after 4 sessions they refused to give me afternoon sessions as the tech was gone!

I can only hope that there are better Hand and Stone locations. However, given my experience at this location, I won’t be trying any others. The only reason I went to Hand and Stone was because I received a gift card. First, $119 for 50 minutes is overpriced. I can have a full hour at my usual massage therapist for $95. Second, I paid an extra $18 for an aromatherapy scalp massage. I assumed that this ‘extra’ service would actually be extra. The aromatherapy scalp massage was barely five minutes and was INCLUDED in the 50 minutes - no extra time. Over decades of going to massage therapy, a scalp massage has ALWAYS been included in my time but NEVER at an extra charge. Third, whether the walls are too thin or people speak too loudly, I found I was distracted by people’s loud voices even though there was music playing in my room. The reason I gave two stars is because Steven did concentrate on the areas I specified and I understand he is only following policies with regard to the extra service - not his fault.

If you are a woman of color, avoid this location for laser hair removal. Firstly they misrepresented their Groupon package for lip and chin treatment and I ultimately ended up with burns on my face. Now I get to be concerned about facial hair AND also burn scars ????

I got a $100 gift certificate for this place 2 years ago for my birthday. I found it this morning and tried to book online and I'm being asked to put my credit card information for a service I have not yet received. This is a first for me. And after reading some of these comments of people being charged for not making their appointments, I I will definitely not be a victim. Life happens and sometimes emergencies happen. Have some consideration. I'm sorry my friend wasted her money here.

Unfortunately my experience was with a inexperienced esthetician. Only had 2 weeks experience with Hand and Stone. pleasant young lady. Work was incomplete, when brought to her attention she completed it but was just ok... My first and last time at H&S. Looking forward to going back to my regular place. Moving forward better training and supervision is needed .. Always ask for experience esthetician. .

I could hear the owners talking on the phone loudly during my visit last night and then stating he needs a giant puff. Very unprofessional and rude for a spa. won't be returning. They seems to be unaware of themselves seems like more of a possey than a professionally run establishment. I'm not going to a spa to hear ignorance while I'm getting a massage that defeats the purpose of it in its entirely.
