I have visited Rainspa twice and both experiences were absolutely heavenly. The staff is friendly and I feel that considering the cost, you really do get a luxury experience. The Hammam treatment is one of the most amazing things I have ever had the pleasure of doing. If you get the chance to work with Diana, do so! She is clearly an expert masseuse and a very sweet woman on top of that! Whenever I am in Montreal, this is a must do!
I consider myself to be a bit of a spa snob. I have been a loyal customer of Jay Carerra for many years now. I believe he is one of the best masseuses in the city if not THEE best. Book the appointment - he will change your life.
This experience really wasn’t up to par. My wife and I both scheduled therapeutic massages, and our overall takeaway was they were weird and not very good. Originally I decided I needed a massage because I woke up with a crick in my neck. The concierge at my hotel helped us book here at Rainspa, and we scheduled one right after for my wife too. My massage was a bit odd. For instance, for part of it he was rubbing me through the blanket, and several times during the massage he ended up resting his belly on my hand. But for me the main issue was that despite the fact that I asked twice that he focus on my neck, he really didn’t do much work on my neck, and I left with more-or-less the same pain I came in with. My wife’s experience was perhaps even a bit stranger. Among other things, the masseuse (same guy) accidentally exposed her breast while she was face up and didn’t immediately cover her back up. He also rubbed massage oil into her hair, requiring her to go home and shower. We do not believe the masseuse was intending to do anything inappropriate, but overall the result for both of us was that it was weird and ineffective. And for the price, we are pretty disappointed. I should note that I said something as I left about him not fixing my neck pain, and they gave me 10% off my massage. Nonetheless, it was as about $340 for both.
Amazing experience! Took my friend for her birthday and we had the best massage and pedicure! All the staff were amazing. Highly recommended!
Had a wonderful Swedish massage at Rainspa this morning. My masseuse, Axel, was phenomenal. Receptionist was super friendly. When I return to Montreal again sometime in the not so distant future and am in need of a massage, Rainspa will be my selection
Absolutely gorgeous little spa in the most beautiful and historical part of the city. When I was living here my friend from out of town and I made a rain spa visit as one of our traditions. The staff are very kind and courteous and the place is kept clean and inviting 100% of the time.
I had my second facial here while on vacation and simply adored the experience! Juliana was fantastic and educated me on some tips i could use at home to maximize my skin care regimen. I will definitely be back!
I went for the first time for the “hammam” experience and was quite disappointed- it’s more of a sauna than an actual hammam. I had my own exfoliating glove and the temperature wasn’t hot enough for any exfoliation and when I let the manager know that they simply shrugged and said it didn’t have time to heat up properly and it wasn’t addressed so it’s a bit disappointing that was my first time that I payed full price for but didn’t get to experience. Other than that, the space is nice, they have a small waiting area w tea- the only inconvenience is there are no bathrooms in the locker room so you have to go downstairs every time.
