I had a pleasant surprise and wonderful experience at Spa by JW Vancouver! From the moment I arrived, they were warm, friendly and inviting, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. They have great facilities to use and beautiful views of the city. My massage therapist, Stephanie, is very skilled and attentive to the pressure I liked. I had a great balance of an excellent massage getting my desired target spots, with full relaxation and comfort. All the staff were very professional and helpful, and provided follow up they said they would do. I had an overall exceptional experience! I highly recommend Spa by JW Vancouver. I'm looking forward to my next visit and will be bringing friends or my husband!
I had a wonderful experience at Spa by JW Vancouver! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. My therapist, Melanie, was incredibly skilled and attentive, making sure I felt completely relaxed throughout my treatment. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the overall service was exceptional. A special thank you to Gian for the thoughtful follow-up - it truly made my visit even more special. I highly recommend Spa by JW Vancouver for anyone looking for a top-tier spa experience in the city. Looking forward to my next visit!
Waste of time and money. STAY AWAY. Recently got a 60minute RMT couples massage with my fiancé at the JW Marriott spa. Friendly service, but horrible massage. We each spent $328 for a weak rub on the back and a bit of scented oil and a cheap glass of champagne in a plastic glass at the end. Very little attention to actual sore muscles. 18% tip was mandatory and included in the bill. My fiancé also stated how her masseuse felt like she was “just touching her back” - We’ve had numerous massages, and far better ones at a way lower price points. Our 7:15pm massage was the last of the day, so we also had access to their hot tub and relax area prior to the appointment. Hot tub was packed with hotel guests and was a warm bathtub at best.. Stayed only 5 minutes. Relax area was fine, nothing special, some nice snacks. Overall, not worth it and extremely disappointing for what is one of the most expensive and prestigious hotels in Vancouver.
Last minute massage booked before flight time. So happy to relax in the Lou he with awesome fragrance, nuts and snacks, tea with honey, and view of the science centre on the water. Perfect massage by a Korean male masseuse on warm comfy massage bed. Also used the steam room and it very clean also with all the hairstyling tools including dryer and straightener! Feeling rrfreshed after and being able to fix my looks and straight to dinner.
Disappointed. Way overpriced massage, the spa seems nice from the outside with their facade- the decor and snacks, but the actual massage was very poor quality. Not worth the money and my local RMTs provide way better service with reasonable prices.
Exceptional service, the best couples massage we ever had. Annabelle and Yuki are very skilled masseurs. Would recommend without hesitation.
I had a great time at this spa! I'm not sure why the ratings are so low but I had a wonderful time at this spa. I had an RMT appointment and I arrived early to use their hydrotherapy tub and also sat and read in their "waiting" lounge before my appointment time. The tub was lovely and the lounge was extremely comfortable and had a great view- I could have been there for hours! After my RMT massage I was escorted to their relaxation lounge, which was even more relaxing and included some small snacks, and teas for you to enjoy. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the price in my opinion. It is definitely on the pricier side but I just viewed it as paying for the use of their other facilities. Note- they provide bathrobes and even slippers for you to use! You do not need to bring anything extra other than a swimsuit if you plan on using the tub.
Honest Staff, Clean and Restful! Last night, my good friend and I decided to take some time to catch up at the spa and over drinks at D6. Overall, my spa experience was fantastic; I loved the steam room, modern decor, relaxation lounge, view of the water and my facial. What I appreciated most was the HONEST staff who found my jewelry that I had left behind in the bathrobe. The next morning, I emailed the spa in a big panic. They replied promptly. A shout out to Meera for going out of her way to locate my bracelets. They both hold significant sentimental value to me (one was in memory of my dad, and the other one was given to me by my sons). I will be back soon, especially to test out the outdoor hot tub if I can get my good friend to buy a bathing suit :).
