I was at the Ten Spot in the Glebe over the holidays to get a simple brow wax and had the skin burned and torn off around my eyes. The owner said I must be prone to skin lifting but I have been getting my brows waxed since I was a teenager and I have never, ever had this happen before. It was awful. Now that the burns have finally healed there is permanent scarring and I can never have my eye brows waxed again. When I sent photos of the damage done I was offered one free brow wax as compensation. When I declined I was offered a tube of cream. I contacted the Better Business Bureau to see what can be done and they sent me a list of legal counsel in the city to contact. I am sharing this because I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

Gel Mani/Pedi did not last 5 days. 3/10 toes peeled off and my manicure chipped. Extremely disappointing considering I treated myself for a vacation. On top of that, it costs $60 for gel mani and $80 for gel pedi. My other friends who had also gotten gel mani/pedis from other locations (for a way more affordable price mind you) did not have this issue. Don’t go here if you want a quality gel mani/pedi that lasts.

I had this place come recommended from a friend who gets facials done here and loves them but I had a gel manicure done here, and within two days it had significantly chipped. I contacted the studio and to their credit did immediately offer for me to come in and have them fixed at no cost. However, a day after getting them redone I already have air bubbles on one of the nails that was redone. Their customer service is great but the issue must be technique or the polish being used as even after a fix I'm experiencing issues with the manicure. Perhaps a biogel or dip manicure here is more lasting but usually gel is more lasting and durable than what I've experienced.

I had a BIB gel overlay French manicure and gel pedi with Linda today to prepare for southern vacation. Linda was absolutely lovely - very professional and kind - and I am extremely pleased with the results. She made suggestions about colours that would suit my skin tone (I am a relative mani/pedi newbie) and when I chose a particular colour for my pedicure, she suggested I consider something different, which, when we compared her choice and mine, ended up being much nicer than what I had selected myself. The salon was bright, clean, and everyone was very friendly. My appointment also started and finished at exactly the time it was scheduled. I would highly recommend both Linda and The Ten Spot in the Glebe - excellent service and lovely staff.

I have been going to this spa for over a year now for waxing. Emily has been my go to ever since I found her, she makes the experience so relaxing and comfortable, I have not been able to find anyone like her. I am always greeted by warm smiles at the front desk. Highly recommend Emily and this spa for their waxing services!

This is my second time going there and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I used to have a usual place that I went to back in Durham, but this place is nice... clean.. quaint and very friendly! Thank you all ????
