Overall we loved the concept, very unique. Food and service at the restaurant were excellent. However, they can do better: from actually answering the phone (we tried multiple times), having professional workers to provide services as massages and Hamam experience (one of the reasons we came for ????), changing customers towels during the visit, having conditioner and not body soap when it says “conditioner” (I put it in my hair), changing the layout of the dressing rooms so people wouldn’t see you naked every time someone opens the door, and last is the musty smell, and a little bit of feet smell as well in some places, definitely not a smell that you want to have in a spa. Please do a little better when you’re charging the same price as Go place for instance.
Amazing place! I went there for the first time, I arrived 15 minutes before they opened, and the door was unlocked exactly at opening time. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and informative. Unlike some other spas, they provide slippers, a robe, and 2 towels. The change room was very clean. The facilities were fantastic! There is a wood-fired Banya with a room on either side. The steam room was large and comfortable, there is a cold-plunge pool next to the hot tub, and a cold-water bucket you pull on a chain and it dumps over your head. The salt room was quiet, and I read a couple chapters of a book I brought. I've been to hotels and gyms that have saunas and steam rooms that are lukewarm at best. The temps at these facilities are hot... just as they should be. The free loose tea selection was extensive and delicious. They also provide free iced water with lemon to keep you hydrated. The lounge was very comfortable, and the other attendees were charismatic and conversational. Most of them spoke Eastern European languages, so I knew that this Banya was authentic. The food was FANTASTIC. The server, Anton, described the dishes very well. I ordered the Draniki (potato pancakes) and the soup of the day, Salyanka. Incredibly delicious. I also saw the dishes he brought to other tables, and they looked awesome as well. This was my "Indulgence Day" for self-care, and this Banya hit the bulls-eye on every aspect of my visit. I will definitely return.
Cozy and unique. Gem in Richmond Hill. The food is good but don't expect a wow. The sauna is great but it is a bit crowded even there were only 30 people at my visit.
★★★★★ Banya Richmond Hill is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. The atmosphere is so serene and inviting, with tasteful décor and a focus on creating a tranquil environment. Everything is impeccably clean, which is a huge plus. I've been to other spas before, but Banya Richmond Hill is truly in a league of its own. The traditional Russian banya was the highlight of my visit. The heat was perfect, and the steam was so cleansing. It was an incredibly invigorating experience that left me feeling refreshed and revitalized. I followed it up with a plunge into the cold pool, which was definitely a shock to the system, but ultimately left me feeling amazing! The contrast between the hot and cold was incredibly stimulating. I highly recommend it if you’re feeling adventurous. Beyond the amazing facilities, the staff at Banya Richmond Hill are exceptional. They were so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and offered helpful recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ well-being. From start to finish, I felt pampered and well-cared for. They were attentive without being intrusive, which I really appreciated. I also decided to treat myself to a massage after my banya session, and it was absolutely fantastic. The therapist was skilled and attentive, working out all the knots and tension in my muscles. I left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was the perfect complement to the banya experience. What I loved most about my visit was the overall feeling of well-being I experienced afterward. My body felt physically refreshed and revitalized, and my mind felt clearer and more at peace. It was a truly holistic experience. In today’s busy world, it’s so important to prioritize self-care, and Banya Richmond Hill is the perfect place to do just that. I highly recommend Banya Richmond Hill to anyone looking for an exceptional spa experience. Whether you’re a seasoned banya enthusiast or new to it, you'll find something to enjoy. It’s the perfect escape to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with yourself. I can’t wait to go back! It’s become my go-to for relaxation and self-care. If you’re looking for a place to escape the stresses of daily life and emerge feeling refreshed and revitalized, Banya Richmond Hill is it. You won't be disappointed! It’s an investment in your well-being that’s worth every penny. I’m already planning my next visit!
Love banya! Steam room and wet sauna with venik treatments my faves! Love cold plunge! Tea and salt rooms great for relaxation! Tried lots of options in restaurant and every dish was great!! Got compliments from my coworkers how glowy my skin is! It's really smooth and glowing! Great place for stress release, total body and mind relaxation.
The best Russian sauna in Toronto. We went there twice already, the saunas are nice, the stuff is very friendly and helpful. They even have a restaurant inside with your favorite Russian food. Prices are reasonable, love that place.
Had such a great time at this banya! Super relaxing vibes all around. The banyas and sauna are on the smaller side, but they’re cozy and do the job. The food was awesome, and the tea room was a real standout—getting to pick your own tea blend and enjoy it in a teapot was such a cool touch. Definitely worth a visit!
The spa at Banya was a very relaxing experience. I went with a group of friends, and we spent around 2 hours there, although you need less time than that unless you start ordering drinks. I wish I had a bit more guidance for the facilities I was using (like what room this is, what it's for, how long to spend in there). Overall it was very clean and pleasant. I will return sometime!
