I had a very disappointing experience at this massage place. My first visit was great, with a friendly and welcoming front desk staff and a great therapist, but this time was completely different. I had an appointment at 1:00 PM, and at 8:58 AM on a workday, I received a missed call. Since no voicemail was left, I assumed it was just a reminder. When I arrived on time for my appointment, the new front desk lady barely acknowledged me. I had to walk up to her, and even then, she just kept looking at her computer. When I mentioned my appointment, she checked and casually said, “Oh, I left you a voicemail this morning. XXXXX had personal emergency”. No apology for the inconvenience, just back to looking at her screen. When I told her I hadn’t received a voicemail, only a missed call, she insincerely said, “Oh really? Sorry, but I left one.” I even rechecked my phone in front of her, but she was completely unbothered and continued ignoring me. I stood there awkwardly while she got busy with her computer (apparently, there are more important tasks at the front desk than assisting clients standing right in front of them). I had to ask her what happens next. Only then did she bother to mention other available therapists, but when I asked about my therapist’s expected return, she sarcastically said, “I don’t know, she didn’t tell us.” There was no effort to make me feel valued as a customer, not even a polite acknowledgment of the inconvenience I went through on a work day!. And this was the second time in two weeks that they canceled my appointment on the day of! Whether it was incompetence, lack of training, or just plain rudeness, I left feeling disrespected and unimportant. I was extremely disappointed by how this was handled, especially given my positive first experience. A simple voicemail with clear information and a more professional approach from the front desk would have made a huge difference. My first visit made me want to return, but after this, I’m not sure I ever will. If customer service matters to you, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

This location has been a constant disappointment. Their poor scheduling and lack of communication are pushed onto customers, with no support from the owners to resolve issues. I have had four massage appointments canceled—each within an hour of my scheduled time—despite booking weeks in advance. Every time, they claim the therapist has called in sick and that they’re fully booked for weeks to come. There is no accountability, no compensation, and no effort to make things right. While they strictly enforce their cancellation policy on customers, they fail to uphold basic scheduling etiquette themselves. Why not call in another therapist to cover the workload? And when they do offer a rescheduled appointment, it’s just as frustrating. After my last cancellation, they offered me a slot the next day, but I needed a moment to check my schedule before confirming. By the time I called back, it was already taken. How is that fair? I had to rearrange my schedule and still didn’t get an appointment. Attempting to file a complaint is pointless—the receptionist can only pass messages to the owners, who respond at their own convenience. And when they do, their answer is always the same: no discounts, no solutions, no regard for the inconvenience caused. Massage Addict Southdale, these aren’t just paying customers—they are people in pain, seeking relief, only to be met with more stress and frustration. Avoid this location and the Fanshawe one as well—same owners, same lack of care. Save yourself the hassle.

What fantastic RMT practitioners!! Ann is my top choice, she has always been very thorough and finds the triggers that help me breathe stronger! And my fiance thinks Brodie does fantastic work, he gets deep tissue RMT massages, and sleeps much better post message. We are very happy with the quality of service we receive!!

I always book to see Ann for massage and she is amazing and knowledgeable. I also saw Kiet for stretch therapy and my movement improved drastically! Every time I leave i feel relaxed, refreshed and happy with the service. I would totally recommend them!

I have been struggling with migraines for years and acupuncture was one of my last resorts for pain management. I am SO happy I tried it. Kat is absolutely AMAZING. She walks you through everything and is very receptive to any anxiety or hesitation. My migraines and pain have gone down substantially since seeing Kat, and my body feels so much better. I cannot thank her enough for her amazing service. Very highly recommended, especially for migraines and tension.
