Very nice cozy and clean place. We visited this place for couples massage. My massage was excellent but my husband’s wasn’t that great so it depends on who you get. The tea was a bit disappointing for me as I was expecting Moroccan tea but it’s not. Overall it was a nice relaxing experience.
Warm and relaxing atmosphere. I booked the massage and turkish bath (with bubbles). The bath was an interesting experience as a first time- it’s a good way to get a full body scrub! Only feedback is for the staff to be able to share info about the benefits of the treatments when customers are curious. The lady that did my bath didn’t seem knowledgeable and i don’t think that should be the case. However, still had a great experience!
Nice facilities and I enjoyed the steam but I found the services underwhelming for the price. I’ve done treatments at the Ritz, Shangri-la and St Regis in Toronto and for a somewhat similar price point found that experience much more worthwhile. I did the Signature Cela Luxury Spa Ritual - this is a 90 min treatment so I expected to leave feeling like I was walking on a cloud - I did not. It’s an interesting treatment including a multiple step bathing and exfoliating treatment on a heated stone flat bed but I was most looking forward to the head, neck and shoulder massage during the hair treatment and it was totally skipped over! Like maybe there was 30 seconds of a neck shoulder/type massage but no pressure and the head treatment again had no massage or scalp scrub element to it - the hair washing at my hair salon is more relaxing. I was with a group and I actually thought it was maybe just my girl but the others expressed their disappointment at also not receiving any sort of head, shoulder and neck massage during their exact same treatment. I’ve had exfoliating and cream application treatments before elsewhere and they’ve just felt more relaxing - like how they applied the cream had more of a massage element to it. Maybe this type of treatment wasn’t for me but just kind of disappointed overall. This place is very close to my condo and I don’t think I’ll go back. As I said not horrible just not worth the money.
Hamman Spa exceeded all my expectations and made the beginning the morning of my birthday that much special! My fiancé booked a 90min Céla Luxury Spa Ritual, and from the moment I walked in the experience was flawless. Tatiana took such good care of me, it was my first time at a Hammam and she provided me with a cold face cloth and a towel so I would be comfortable in the beautiful steam room. I was truly pampered with a hair treatment, scrub, and a great massage. She checked in with me just the right amount. The entire atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing, and I enjoyed the baklava treat in their lounge. Thank you as well to the pretty front desk lady who gave me a little gift bag on this special day. I will surely be back :)
I had the Céla Seed to Skin Ritual at King West location and it was an incredible experience! The front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming. They gave me a quick tour so I knew exactly where everything was and what to do. The changing room was spacious and spotless, stocked with everything you could need—showers, hair dryers, body lotion, cleanser, serum, and even a clay mask. They provided a robe, cover-up, flip flops, and unlimited towels. I came 30 minutes early to enjoy the complimentary steam room, which was such a relaxing way to start my visit. My aesthetician, Kimberly Nguyen, was amazing. She created such a relaxing atmosphere and treated me with such care. The ritual started with lying face down on a warm table while hot water was gently poured over me. Then came the bubbles with gentle massage, followed by a very gentle scrub, again with massage. The same process was done while lying on my back. At one point, a cool peppermint-scented towel was placed on my forehead, and it was very relaxing. After a thorough rinse, I was wrapped in warm towels, and Kimberly applied lotion with a gentle massage to finish off the experience. I genuinely felt like royalty the entire time. To top it all off, Kimberly had set up some treats for me in the lounge—baklava, Turkish delight, nuts, tea, and water. So sweet and caring. I can't recommend Kimberly enough—she truly made the whole experience feel luxurious and personal. I enjoyed my treatment so much and will definitely be returning. Next time, I’m bringing my husband along so we can enjoy the steam room or maybe a couples' treatment.
I recently came here for the first time and tried the Hammam Rhassoul Clay Wrap. This was my first time having a body treatment done so I was super excited. Since I haven’t had a treatment like this before, I don’t have anything else to compare it to. It was definitely a unique body relaxation type experience. There were a lot of steps in this treatment. It started off with a neck to toe exfoliation, then a full body wash as she poured buckets of water on me to wash off the scrub, then the clay was applied and massaged on me at the same time. I’m not sure how the massage is supposed to feel like but I feel that she could have done a better job as she could have applied more pressure. But since she wasn’t a RMT and this was just a therapeutic type massage I suppose this might just be how the treatment is. The full treatment is 60 minutes, I felt like it was rushed. I think that the exfoliant scrub, the body wash to rinse off the scrub, the clay application, the tin foil wrap and simultaneous scalp massage, then body rinse again was a lot. I did enjoy the concept and steps of this full body treatment but I just feel like I would have enjoyed it much more if there was more time to just enjoy every single step of this a bit longer. The eucalyptus steam room was a really nice feature in the spa. The lounge is small and cozy with a fireplace. There were raisins, walnuts and almonds you could have. After my treatment I got small piece of baklava and turkish delight. I inquired for another piece of baklava which was $5.00 a piece. The pricing here was expensive. However, I’d still recommend it for people to try a body treatment here.
Beautiful space & fairly thorough Moroccan hamam experience. Steam room, lounge with tea/ snacks and elegant treatment space with skilled therapists. Small locker room & robes/towels are far too small for someone curvy/busty or bigger bodies in general.
This place is so below average. I came in yesterday for an Aromatherapy massage. The massage was good but the experience was terrible. Women’s changing room was dirty and clumps of hair everywhere on the floor. They can at least pay someone to clean during afternoon hours and not wait until end of the day. The tea & relaxation room was more like a party room with birthday party groups drinking champagne and talking loud. The wall had a quiet zone sign but nobody cared. I paid close to 300$ and couldn’t even feel relaxed. If you are inviting people for champagne then why not send them to a party room. Spas are for peace & quiet time and I am very disappointed to say I could get none.
