I had the absolute best experience thanks to Michelle Nahmad. From the moment I walked in, she took great care of me. She listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions and gave me my dream haircut and blowout. From start to finish, everything was flawless. I highly recommend Michelle and can't wait to go back!

I had a deluxe shellac manucure before leaving for a vacation in April. The shellac was not applied properly and I went back to have it reapplied on a number of nails. By day 12, it started to bubble on one nail, and on day 25, I was finally able to get an appointment in YSS for a removal, which is complementary. What followed was even worse. I was assigned to a new nail tech at the spa, Naz. She used a metal drill to remove my shellac, which she claimed was safe. I was very uncomfortable and kept tensing my hand. Acetone should always be used to remove shellac and protect the natural nail. I should have insisted, but she seemed confident. I reluctantly agreed to try the dip, believing, as the nail tech claimed, that it would help strengthen my nails. I later learned the tech double dipped, which poses a serious health risk. I reported the practice to Ottawa Public Health. The advice the inspector gave me was this: never agree to a service that you are not comfortable with. You pay a lot of money for the manucure service and it should always be done respecting health protocols. I know what I need to do now: have the dip triple coat removed. I am awaiting a response from the manager at YSS. I have generally been happy with services at YSS in the past, but wonder why they chose to place me in the hands of a nail tech who is obviously more motivated by financial reward than the health of the client's nails. My nails hurt. The shellac removal was botched, the dip service was unsafe and the results are simply not there. It's just not worth it. Trust your gut. 120$ plus tip later, I wish I had spoken up.

I visited this salon a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Michelle, the stylist who worked with me, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave me a consultation since it was my first appointment. She gave me a lil massage and used some essentials oils which I found made the experience much more enjoyable! The result was exactly what I hoped for <3 . I left the salon feeling extra happy and pampered. Highly recommend Michelle for anyone looking for a top-notch hairstyling experience!

Expressing my appreciation for the excellent service that was provided to me last week. Michelle's expertise and skills have truly impressed me. Not only she carefully listened to my preferences, but she also provided valuable suggestions that complemented my overall look. I've received a lot of compliments since then. Michelle, you are talented! I was booked initially to a different salon, but it got canceled that day 15 minutes before my appointment -- yes very unprofessional. So, i looked for a nearby salon and Michelle was friendly and welcoming. I must admit I was quite embarrassed to come in and ask to accommodate a last-minute appointment for full highlights. I was impressed by Michelle's professionalism and attention to detail for the duration of my appointment. She ensured that I was comfortable at all times. Evidently, she cares about clients’ satisfaction and well-being. I am looking forward to my next visit! I won't hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family or to anyone.

I am 74 years old and had my first ever facial yesterday. From now on its the only gift I want for Christmas. Marcia is amazing. She has soothing hands, a warm and generous spirit and you can tell she just loves what she does. I also had a perfect pedicure. I felt pampered and priviledged to be in her care.
