"75min KOBI KORUGI facial massage Started off with a foot bath. During the soak, she explained to me how it was going to go down which was helpful. Gave me time to ask questions and settle in. Everything felt just right - relaxing, the right deep pressure, the treatment felt soothing. I definitely drifted in and out of sleep. Ended with a snack and yuzu tea. Valet parking included so you don’t have to worry about parking in downtown. I’d go back again. Very much worth it."
"My mom and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish! The massages and facials were some of the best we have ever had. It felt like a mini trip to Japan and all of the massage therapists were very kind."
"Came here several times for facial+head massage and body massage. Staff are friendly, service is excellent. We started with feet soaking with essential oil, and they went through briefly about the massage and then take us to the room. Hot tea and Japanese snack will be provided after the massage. If you come to town for a visit or would like to try a Japanese style massage, I’d recommend this place for the reasonable prices with excellent service."
"This place was worth checking out. My sister and I got two 45 minute scalp massages. The masseuses were very friendly and we started out with a foot bath, they then brought us back for our scalp massages. It was worth every penny! After we completed our massage they brought us to this quiet room where we were greeted with tea and a snack. I highly recommend checking out this place and would 100% go back!"
"Did a couple massage here and it was wonderful. The staff are super welcoming and I’m excited to come back."
"This lovely spa in downtown Vancouver always leave us replenished and rejuvenated. My massage was perfectly executed; Mary Ellen had a lovely facial. The ambience is relaxing, the staff very highly trained and professional, and the hospitality unmatched. We have been before and can’t wait to come back …"
"Great little Japanese spa for relaxation. I loved the Japanese vibes. It got me excited to visit Japan soon!"
"The massage was so good the building could be on fire and I wouldn't move. My life felt completed."
"I had an excellent experience with Rochelle Zubot during my first visit for a hand massage. I came in with a stiff back and was truly amazed at how effective her technique was. Rochelle is incredibly skilled, professional, and attentive. She immediately understood where the tension was and worked with precision to relieve it. Job well Done."
"Terrible Experience – Feels Like a Scam I’m extremely disappointed with Hand & Stone Massage in Richmond Hill. We purchased 2 gift cards in December for a massage and facial, which were supposed to be valid for six months. There are still six days left before the cards expire, and when I called today to book an appointment, I was told they are fully booked and refused to accommodate me or extend the validity. It honestly feels like a scam — why sell gift cards with a time limit if you’re not going to honor them within that period? It’s even more frustrating that they’re taking bookings for after my card expires, but won’t make any effort to help me now. To make things worse, the receptionist was extremely rude. When I tried to explain the issue, she gave an irrelevant and insulting example about gift cards from other stores, and when I raised my voice out of frustration, she hung up on me. This kind of customer service is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend this place to anyone — avoid at all costs. _______________________________________ Thank you for your reply, but I’d like to clarify a few important points. First, the tone you’re now using in this written response is drastically different from how the manager spoke to me on the phone. If that level of professionalism had been shown during the call, there would’ve been no reason for me to raise my voice. What frustrated me further was the inappropriate comparison to a Shoppers Drug Mart gift card — a completely different kind of product and policy — which felt dismissive and irrelevant to the situation at hand. Second, while I acknowledge the expiry date of the complimentary gift card was mentioned and labeled, nowhere was it communicated that I should book an appointment immediately or within a limited booking window. If appointment availability is so limited, that should be made explicitly clear at the time of purchase or indicated on the card. Suggesting that it’s the client’s responsibility to assume this or read between the lines is unfair and misleading. The core issue is not about the expiry date itself, but the lack of transparency and poor communication regarding appointment availability — especially when you market these promotions as gifts. It shouldn’t be the customer’s “guesswork” to know they have to book weeks or even months in advance to actually redeem what was offered. I appreciate the offer to be put on a waitlist, but the overall handling of the situation — particularly the customer service I experienced — left me feeling undervalued as a client. I hope future promotions come with clearer guidance to avoid similar misunderstandings for others."
"Had the pleasure to try out hand and stone for the first time for my moms birthday. After reading some reviews, I booked a session with Serapina and Brenda for my moms birthday. I was a bit nervous since her and I have tried out many massage places but these massage therapist have exceeded my expectations big time! They were so kind and absolutely amazing. I have never had a massage that good in my life. We added the foot massage and 100% worth every penny. The receptionists were also so sweet and made it an amazing experience. This will for sure be our go to place from now on!"
"I am writing this review under my fiancee's Google account because he booked the appointment as an early Christmas gift to me since he knows I always talk about how incredible hot stone massages are. This one was extra special because I convinced him to book us a couples massage at Hand & Stone Massage. He has never had a massage before. We both booked the 50 minute hot stone massage together and yet, I was very disappointed that his masseuse and my masseuse gave two totally different massages to us. After we were done, he described how his masseuse gave and incredible massage to the front of his legs, all the way down to his feet, as well as an amazing front arm and hand massage. As I mentioned, I have had several stone massages before and I expected the same and yet my masseuse did neither. I was quite surprised when she told me the massage was over, as I was anticipating the same treatment as my fiance. Needless to say I was very disappointed. First hot stone massage where the masseuse did not do this. The massages were not cheap either. Very happy though that he completely enjoyed his very first hot stone massage!"
"Sorry to mention negative review but i felt it was not fair for me. I booked 50 mins massage at 1pm and due to traffic jam I got 30 mins late. I got just 20 mins because they couldn’t push the schedule which is okay. They might be busy but I got charged 50 mins I had to pay whole amount but I just used 20 mins service. Either they should have charge at-least 30 mins service or cancel my appointment. Even I had cancel they told me they will charge me half, where in the world this kind of business working on. I took uber to rush and there’s traffic jam and on top you giving me 20 mins service and charging me full. Not acceptable at all. Not fair for anybody if they do this. This kind of business should shut down. Hope you change your rules or focused more on customer service. Thanks."
"I had an amazing experience at Massage Hand & Stone with Nancy! She is truly skilled, attentive, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the session. Her techniques were incredibly relaxing, and I left feeling refreshed .I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic massage. Thank you, Nancy!”"
"Went for a 50 minute message with JieYing Cao, a registered message therapist. The environment was professional, calm and welcoming. The appointment took place on time, and JieYing did a fantastic job. I will most certainly be returning to this location."
"I had a massage and my daughter had a facial. The receptionist was nice and efficient. My massage was fine except I had specifically asked for a silent massage (no extra talking) and unfortunately the RMT was having respiratory problems and was sniffing and coughing throughout the massage. At the end of my daughter’s facial the person came out and basically told me if I don’t buy their product my daughter will have to go on meds to clear up acne. While I don’t doubt this is true, the HARD sell for the products was completely unnecessary and very harsh. I’m sure I could find other products that aren’t $200."
