"I had the most wonderful experience of my life here the other day! ✨️???? This was my first time ever getting a hot stone/anti stress massage. I've been putting it off but decided to go for it as I really needed some extra self care and stress release. I couldn't have made a better choice! The night before, around 630PM I made an inquiry on their website, and within a short while I had a reply email from them with a suggested time slot for the next day! I wanted to note that I had previously left a message/email with 3 other massage places in Georgetown and this was the only place that replied, and showed any interest in receiving business. How lovely to feel seen, heard and appreciated! Compared to the other places in town, don't waste your time as they probably won't reply. Downtown Spa & relaxation have superior customer service! :) I was greeted by the lovely owner, Dorri at the front desk who was so charming and welcoming, and who was emailing me the night before. The storefront is very appealing, clean and comfortable to sit while you wait! I had Jess and she was incredible! Her professional demeanor combined with how polite and sweet and calming she was truly made the experience 10x more enjoyable. As a first time customer, I was transported into a world of ease and no judgement and relaxation within minutes. I didn't feel awkward or embarrassed about anything. She made sure I was comfortable. The hot stones were so lovely! I never wanted it to end! I could literally feel my unhappy thoughts and negative buildup melt away during the treatment. I've just recovered from abuse/violence so this was a very speacial treat/moment for me that couldn't have been done any better. I didn't know it included a face massage! *ladies make sure you don't wear makeup before you go or jewelry!* Jess was so lovely, I passed her my rings and not a moment longer after the entire treatment ended did she return my rings to me right in my hand - ensuring you don't forget after being so relaxed! Before I left I chatted for a bit with a lovely Older lady who has been a dedicated customer for more years than I've been alive! It was a testimony to how good their services are! I walked out of there feeling a new appreciate for life. They are right, self care shouldn't be a luxury and this was so needed. The price was very reasonable for being treated like royalty. I can't wait to go again! I highly recommend this place above all others. You won't be dissappinted!"

"I’ve never had a massage before so I have no comparison but the man I saw changed me for the better he told me my problems and showed me stretching that can help me. I feel amazing he even told me about undiagnosed bone issues like compressed disks I should get looked at. All of this while repairing seriously damaged muscles. "Awesome deep massage ! I had tennis elbow and went to physio and chiropractor for many visits and didn't get better . Went and saw Hindi and it was painful but one visit and I can move elbow with no pain at all! Wow she is awesome she worked the whole arm not just the elbow . Thanks Norm"

"Went there at 0515 Pm on Sunday June 2. A Senior Gentleman Did My massage. They Have no Co ordination with Customers. He increased the Price while he was doing my massage saying it is extra. They Dont mention OIL massage on their Price sheet Which is On reception and think you are an idiot and can get away massaging you with your Clothes on and will try to fool you by saying it is a special massage done with Clothes on. Would not go there ever again. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Please go somewhere else."

"Got a foot massage on McPhilips location. Looked forward to it but was disappointing. Been there before for a back massage and it was wonderful. Today, i went for a foot massage. It was somewhat awkward. I had to speak up if the lady giving me the massage could put more pressure. No firm pressure was done, the massage felt just all light touch. :( As a massage therapist, it’s important to communicate with the person receiving the massage (ask if the pressure is good - more or less) to ensure that the pressure being applied is comfortable for the customer. Gave her a $5 tip anyway because maybe she’s just having a rough day. Idk."

"It was alright. The customer service was terrible in garden city. My mom went today in the afternoon and the lady that did her eyebrow threading was rude (ie: gave my mom attitude for not knowing how to stretch the skin of her eyebrows) and rough with her. I would recommend going somewhere else."

"I have tried this salon on 4 separate occasions and have never left loving my hair. This last experience was enough for me to find a new place. I have gone in every time with an idea or a picture, which is what I am asked to do, my idea has never once resembled the final outcome. I waited 45 minutes for my hairdresser to begin, I asked for summer blonde with a shadow root, I got my natural hair color with some low lights. If I am spending $400, I’d like to at least notice my hair color after. I am always asked if I want a “lived in color”, I don’t! I really don’t. I want it to be noticeable. On a different occasion the hairdresser tried to talk me out of what I wanted, which was simple and not much work (some dark front highlights with light blonde all over) I’d had it done before and had the picture. Even with the picture, I did not get the desired outcome. The hairdressers always seem to go with their own ideas and I walk out feeling ripped off. It is a very expensive salon, so getting something that resembles the clients ideas should be priority, and if it’s not doable, just say no."
