Elmwood Spa provided a great experience overall. The service was excellent, and the massages from RMTs Michelle and Janet were wonderful, according to my wife and daughter. The Sapphire Room offered a relaxing and private atmosphere, which they appreciated. The 3 course lunch was delicious, and restaurant staff were pleasant. The shared spaces, especially in the water therapy areas, felt overcrowded, with each zone seemingly designed for only six people. The women's change rooms were also packed, not much room to change. Crowded again as some guests were in the hot tubs/sauna lounging around as guests were trying to have just a few feet to get dressed. A bit awkward the design , as the hot tub is in the centre which lacked privacy for the guests changing around. Again it would be fine for smaller groups. The men's change room lacks these features? While the experience was enjoyable, the amenities could use some updates and better scheduling to accommodate guests for more of a relaxed feel.

I had an incredible experience at Elmwood spa! I recently celebrated my birthday and was gifted an experience here from a friend, which I happily put to use today. Although it was my first time at Elmwood, I have consistently heard overwhelmingly positive reviews of this spa from family, friends, neighbours and colleagues, so I anticipated having a great experience and my expectations were far exceeded in every aspect. From my relaxing hot stone massage, to the water therapies, and a delicious 3-course birthday lunch (complete with a birthday candle on my dessert, which was such a lovely touch) I had the best day. The service I received throughout the day was outstanding and each space is kept in immaculate condition. I also had one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced with Patrick. I can’t wait to return!

I received a package from Elmwood Spa as a Christmas gift from my boyfriend. It included the water therapies, a facial, 3-course lunch and a manicure & pedicure. The water therapies, facial and lunch were fantastic!! I enjoyed the steam room the most out of the water therapies and my facial was the highlight of my day. The lady doing my facial was Informational and made my skin glow. The food was excellent and I am a huge foodie. I also got a passion fruit mimosa which was delicious! However, the manicure and pedicure were the downfall of my visit. My nail tech unfortunately did not deliver the level of service I got from the other employees at Elmwood Spa. My nails were unevenly filed, and the nail polish was applied in such a way where the nail polish was not evenly distributed on the nail. The nail polish on my feet were applied sloppy. She did not attempt to clean up the nail polish around the edge of my toe nail. I wish I only had the first half of my experience as I would have given this review 5 stars.

Every interaction my mother and I had at the spa/with the spa was amazing. It was a magical day of pampering! I booked over the phone with Tina, she was wonderful and very helpful with my inquiries, accommodations and purchase. Spa is very clean and staff is very attentive to the space and guests. Ambience was lovely. Art work was incredible. We didn't know what to expect as it was our first visit, it definitely exceeded any idea we thought about the experience. Robes and flip flops are the attire for the day (yes plus size beauties they have 3x/4x robes). Our visit began with water Therapies. The hot tub was our favorite. Our next stop was an Aromatherapy massage. Janet was awesome, mother enjoyed her massage and chat. Max was my masseuse and he used perfect pressure during my session. Our day continued with Terrace Lunch. The menu options were good. Food was delicious. Shout out to Jeremy! All Staff was friendly and well organized. Elevator service was reasonable visiting the amenities. Lastly we had the essential Pedicure. Fara, in another life we were besties! Not only did you provide great pedicure (with my sparkles) but our chat was delightful! Remember "when" not saying "if" ???? Lara was sweet, also shared nice rapport with us. Mother really liked the care Lara took into making sure we were comfortable. What surprised us was the hot stones what an interesting experience. Would recommend. Mother and I did not want to leave and spoke about our next visit. See you soon Elmwood Spa ✨️

Disclaimer - haven't been to many spas in general, and I am more of a practical minded person. My partner and I came to Elmwood over the summer for a couple's essential retreat which included the couple's swedish massage, three course lunch at the terrace restaurant, and 55 minutes of water therapy. Overall I'd say our experience was okay. The couple's massage was good overall, nothing wrong with the quality though I would say as far as the value for money goes, it was no better than what I get at my normal RMT for half the price. The lady working the waiting area outside of the massage rooms was also coughing like crazy and had no mask on. Our meal was pretty good. The kitchen actually made a mistake and accidentally put whipped cream instead of the dill cream on my tartar, but our waitress was very on the ball and actually came to me shortly after I started eating it to say she thought that cream didn't look right, and brought it back to the kitchen. Otherwise the meal was good. Where I really don't see the value is what is marketed as water therapy. It's a pool and a hot tub and a sauna. And this area was very busy, and since we came on a weekend it was not designated a quiet zone. Not the most relaxing experience when you've got noisy chatterboxes having conversations at full volume while you're in a small hot tub with them. Plus at the limited number of other spas I've been to, places like the pool/hot tub/sauna were for use for as long as you want, as opposed to a time limit. We were looking for something to do after our massage, before our scheduled lunch, so we asked if we could go into the water therapy area and we were basically told no because we weren't scheduled. Also, based on my understanding the women's change room has a whirlpool, while the men's room has a tv. According to some of the staff, this was a conscious decision based on a survey or something. But the way i see it is i have a TV at home I can watch, I don't have a whirlpool at home. So maybe it's just me, but my personal opinion is this is a bit of a miss. Overall, okay experience, probably wouldn't come back but worth a go if you've never been.

Lovely experience at Elmwood spa for my birthday ☺️ the staff are so kind & attentive! I requested a seat in the sunroom & they were able to find me a table ☺️ the food is absolutely incredible! Large portions & delicious! Water therapies are always nice & quiet during the week which I love & the RMT was good too - thank you ????????

Great experience! Came here with my friend for the first time. From start to finish all staff were professional and so kind, booking was also easy and the staff on the phone were patient. We came for deep tissue massages and water therapies. The robes are such a nice touch, and we loved the steam room (it was so hot it was perfect), pool and hot tub. The massages were fantastic, so well done, the hot towels and cold aromatic face towels were great. Finished with a tea the massage therapist made after we were done. There is even a hot tub in the womens area you can use after. Overall, a wonderful hidden gem in downtown Toronto to relax.

My boyfriend and I had the most whimsical and relaxing time at Elmwood Spa! The pool was delightful, and the hot tub was just right. The steam room was on another level. Jetmar and Hue gave us a magical massage. The food and drinks were flowing nicely and tasting even better. We'll be talking about this for years to come. Thank you so much!
