Someone came by my work to sell some voucher/certificate for this place. I bought one coz I like to support local businesses. Before booking my appointment I looked at the reviews and wasn't too impressed but decided to give it a shot. I booked an appointment for a facial. When I got there, no one was there. I had to wait for my esthetician to get there. Not a big deal. The lady was nice but the place does not look clean at all and she was not very gentle on my face. It was the worst facial I ever had. It was a waste of my time and money.
Can’t say weather Tania is good at her job or not, never got a chance to see her. I had a death in the family just a few days prior to my appointment so I had to cancel. No issues, I cancelled will reschedule at a later time. The day of my appointment I get berated with texts from Tania asking where I am. I told her I cancelled. She called me a liar etc etc. is that how you treat customers? Calling them liars?? No care and compassion, no understanding, just complete ignorance and lack of respect. She’s a nasty woman. I wouldn’t recommend supporting a business with her attitude and disrespect. Also, stop calling me. I have no interest in rebooking with you. Edit reply to Tania: #1 you weren’t rude when I cancelled. You were rude when I didn’t show up to my CANCELLED appointment. #2 it was over 24hr notice. You seemed angry when I didn’t show up, yet I talked to you and told you the reason over a day prior to my appointment #3 you’re right, I didn’t use your service as I stated I don’t know weather you do your job well. So this review isn’t for your services, it’s for your horrible customer service and attitude. Shouldn’t have been rude and you wouldn’t have gotten a bad review?
Had a pedicure, back scrub and massage. Tania prepared a reasonable package price. Very impressed with the professionalism and quality of services. Only sad part was I only had time for a 30 minute massage. Definitely will return for a longer massage and maybe try out some other spa services.
I'm giving this spa a 1 star review because there is no option for 0. I had bought a package deal for $60 from Mat from Ad-star, he was promoting this service by saying that Tania's spa is brand new and they are doing this for new clientele (which turns out to be untrue, they have been in business for years) When I booked my first appointment I showed up and the house was closed, there was no one there. I called the number on the door and there was no response, so I waited about minutes for a response. When she finally called back she told me that my appointment was cancelled as she thought that I was someone else and that a photo she had received for a supposed customer was not appropriate. Tania said that I was not even scheduled on her end, but I had even gotten an email to confirm my appointment. I was upset as a customer would be because there was no communication and I had driven 20 minutes for her not to show up. Since I had already paid I decided to rebook. The day of, I had to cancel and she was nice enough to let me rebook for that same week. Finally, on the day of my appointment I arrived on time but when I entered there was no one at reception so I waited for about 10 minutes again until I heard there was someone at the back talking. I rang the bell a few times until someone actually came out. I told her I was there for my appointment and she was clueless about it. She had to call Tania to ask if I was even scheduled. The masseuse told me she was running behind and so I would have to wait about 40 minutes. I was again, obviously upset because there could have been some form of communication to inform me that they were running behind. I could not wait as I had other things to do later that evening. In the end I ended up going again because Tania apologized and offered me a free massage. I was honestly hesitant to go back because of the TERRIBLE customer service and communication. I figured since I had already paid, I would take advantage of it. When I finally got my facial and massage done, Tania was very nice and friendly. The only thing I will say is that, the service of a spa is very underwhelming. For the price paid the experience should feel more elevated. For the most part, the products and feel given was more of an at home (I can do it myself) spa feeling, which is unexpected when paying to go to a spa. In the end I also had to pay an extra fee of $25 which was not mentioned at the time of purchasing the package deal, and I had to e-transfer because they did not have any machine that took card, which again for a business now a days is unprofessional. I honestly just wanted to get out of there, so I paid the fee unfortunately and left. PLEASE stop calling and texting to make another appointment because I'm not going to lol. Although Tania is very nice as a person, the service is terrible and they need to fix it or else no one is going to go back. Thanks for your time. I hope you do better in the future with clients.

The service I received was good. I had a non surgical facelift as my first service after buying a coupon. My face is sensitive so I got quite red but also received a few scratches. Nothing crazy. However, my appointment started late as the appointment before mine was running behind. Not a huge deal - individuals fall behind and things happen. However, I went in for my second service today and after arriving early I was told the person working with me would be there right on time / a few minutes late. Ten minutes after our appointment time as I waited I received a call letting me know she would be later - I asked for a time and could not be given one. Things happen but I wish I had been made aware of her running late before making the trip there as it was a bit out of the way from where I started and I essentially spent 1.5-2hrs of my day to go there and go back home. Service provider/owner Tania was nice and easy to contact but with the running late and not having my appointment double checked before hand I do not know if I will rebook to try to receive the service I missed again. The shop is clean, it smells nice, and Tania is kind, but I just don’t have the time to spend running behind or waiting. (Also in general please be aware that there is a dog in the area that I was not told about before. Not a problem, just a preference to now about animals as a first time client).

I got the voucher and already had low expectations due to the over promising and exaggerations of what things were worth/what you save. I still thought it would be fine to give a small business a chance, but there is a severe lack of care and professionalism here. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The services provided were basically an at home level of professionalism and quality. The IPA laser was a handheld device that did nothing for hair removal. The chemical peel was a cream that did not peel at all. To boot, the second time around I had to pay a gratuity fee for the service, a fine print on the back of the pamphlet. I wouldn’t have minded if it actually was effective… which it was not. The staff member by A.F who did the treatments was nice, so I hold no resentment to her. But I had nothing but horrible interactions with the owner. I booked online for Sunday; turns out they’re closed on Sunday and left no indication of that on their online booking service. I showed up to a locked door, and basically got nothing but “sorry” in response when I texted to ask about my appointment that had already been confirmed by email. I called to book an appointment and had it verbally confirmed. I showed up; door was locked. When A.F came in for my service a few hours later, there were children blasting their iPads in the front room while I was asked to wait there as well. They didn’t move from the couch leaving me to awkwardly stand. It is not a problem to bring your children to work, but there is a boundary. There was a back room in which they could have been supervised in and separated from clients. All in all I have had nothing but bad experiences with TaniaMediSPA. This was unfortunately not a small Calgary business with any care or passion behind it as I had optimistically hoped for. I have no obligation to share my legal name used in appointments when posting my experiences online. Lack of apology and continued denial goes to show how this business operates—note how she calls customers the scammer in their very valid complaints, and always claims that the problem lies with the reviewer and not her. Copy pasted 5* reviews from different people is also laughably suspicious. Do NOT waste your money or time here.
