"Came here for my first ever facial. It was superb!! The staff are professional, qualified, incredibly helpful, and very friendly - I was a bit nervous about my first ever visit to a spa as I had no idea what to expect, but they were so nice and I immediately felt welcome and relaxed. The set-up is highly professional and most relaxing, soft light and calming music. The facial was very thorough, lots of hot towels and applications of expensive-looking, top-quality products. Now my face feels silky soft and it's taken ten years off me! This place is very highly recommended, definitely coming back to try some of their other treatments!"

"I'm leaving this review because the current reviews did not reflect my experience; the bottom line - NOT RECOMMENDED if you're looking for a relaxation massage. The staff was extremely lovely and the place was clean but overall, it was like walking into University Housing or a well kept Hostel. Here are a couple of the highlights from my 'massage': - the water they served was highly chlorinated and metallic (exactly what you'd expect from old building tap water) - any ambience was drowned by the sound of a window AC unit (very distracting) - the 'oil' used was so dense the MP had to scrub it off with a towel (also very distracting). The 'oil' still remained on my skin the following day - not a comfortable feeling - the MP was far from a masseuse- she had some great techniques- but overall, it hardly felt like the massage described on their website - finally, once flipped over on my back, my head was left unsupported and dangling in the face hole (not an issue at first). After being left like this for over 45mins - it really started to irritate and my neck began to cramp Again, the staff was extremely lovely and I'm guessing their other treatments are lovely - but my relaxation massage was far from relaxation (and more of a rub than a massage)"

"I recently tried the “So Pamper” private hammam experience at So Morocco, and honestly, it was incredible. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed, and the place was spotless and beautifully designed. The private room was amazing—heated marble, eucalyptus steam, and complete relaxation. Margarita exfoliated my skin with the traditional Kessa glove, and wow, I had no idea how much dead skin I was carrying around! It was honestly like shedding a layer of stress. Afterward, she wrapped me up, cleansed me, and finished with a nourishing body oil. My skin felt so soft and refreshed. What stood out the most was the head spa—they washed my hair with handmade, natural products that smelled divine and left my hair feeling so clean and light. Even now, I can still smell the freshness and feel the softness on my skin. Afterward, I relaxed with some Moroccan tea and desserts in the lounge, which was the perfect way to end the experience. It’s such a peaceful and intimate space—ideal for anyone wanting a private, relaxing escape. I’ll definitely be going back regularly. If you’ve been needing to slow down and take care of yourself, this is a must-try. So grateful to have this little gem in Ottawa!"

"I just visited So Morocco for the first time this afternoon—actually, it was my first hammam experience in Canada. I went in with low expectations (after some bad experiences in the past) and came out very happy and satisfied. The owners are very kind, welcoming, and take the time to answer my questions, explain the process, and give me a tour of the hammam. I chose the private suite (part of the ‘So Relax Package’) and I don’t regret it. Everything was spotless: the room was very clean and well-maintained, the steam was hot, and Yousra, who took care of me, was attentive. She handled the scrubbing, hair washing, and soaping with great professionalism. Once finished, I went to the relaxation room where I stayed for almost an hour. I relaxed on a couch, had a mandarin, a herbal tea, and was offered a corne de gazelle while listening to soft music. Since it was just a few days after opening, I benefited from a 20% discount promo code, and I received a Moroccan scrub glove and black soap as gifts. When I tried entering the promotion code into the system, it was rejected as invalid. I had to call them, and they confirmed that they are working on improving their reservation system. They promised the promo code would be applied at checkout, and everything was processed as agreed, which made me very happy. There are a few minor imperfections, such as the delay between each hammam session, which did not bother me personally, but could be an issue for other clients. The good news is that they are actively working on improving this from their end by automatically setting up buffer times between each session during the reservation process. Thank you so much, and I sincerely hope you maintain this level of quality, if not improve it! I plan to return next month to repeat the experience and try a wrap."

"There aren't enough words to describe the experience at So Morocco. From the vibe, to the services themselves- so many great details. Most of all, the amount of care that goes into the services delivered by the specialists. I had a two hour treatment there earlier this week- a Hammam, body wrap, face mask, hair spa and massage. The products they use feel luxurious and it was indeed the most pampering I have ever had. If you are curious about the Hammam, I really can't recommend it enough. The after effects of how smooth my skin felt and how detoxifying and light I felt are incredible. I can't wait to go back!"
