"2 weeks ago I had a pedicure with Tetiana. She did an excellent job. My feet were so smooth, all my calluses were gone. They are probably the only salon with a 2 stage disinfecting system. You need not worry about catching someone elses fungal infection at Roots Salon."

"I have never hated my hair more. I recently visited this salon for a hair coloring and highlighting appointment for my graduation. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment to prevent others from facing a similar situation. When I initially booked my appointment, I was quoted a price of around $200 on phone. However, upon arrival, I was seated without any discussion about the price. The hairstylist proceeded to work on my hair without informing me about the costs involved. I clearly told them for a beautiful ash brown color with subtle highlights, even showing the stylist an inspiration picture. However, the end result did not resemble the color I wanted. To make matters worse, I was shocked when presented with a bill totaling more than $400. Feeling dissatisfied and overcharged, I contacted the salon two days later, hoping for a refund due to the mismatched color and excessive pricing. Regrettably, the owner refused to provide a refund but offered to correct the color free of charge during another visit. I decided to go back for my hair to get fixed. During the follow-up appointment, I received a toner treatment, but instead of achieving the desired color, it simply brought my natural hair color back. The salon also provided me with a complimentary shampoo and conditioner, but these gestures do not rectify the fact that my hair was ruined in the process. Spending that much money on an unsuccessful and unsatisfactory outcome has left me deeply saddened and disappointed. Despite expressing my discontent over the phone, the owner insisted that I return once again for them to assess the situation. However, considering the negative experiences thus far, I have decided against going back. I cannot bear the risk of further damage to my hair. It is disheartening to have invested my hard-earned money in a service that not only failed to deliver the desired results but also left my hair in an undesirable state."

"This is a convenient location with friendly staff. There are a few issues however, that require addressing. The massage bed was concave (perhaps from overuse) so my back began to hurt halfway through. It was uncomfortable. Second, this spa does not provide 50 minutes of massage. They say it’s a “50 minute service.” By the time I was taken to the room and changed, the massage was only 40 minutes. It is my understanding that an hour is blocked for each service to accommodate change time, thus allowing for an accurately timed 50 minute massage. I was taken to the room at 11:31. The massage started at 11:39. It was over at 12:20 on the dot. I have never been to a massage that operates this way. It feels cheap, as though they are trying to get a quick turnover to squeeze in more appointments which makes me question how well rooms are sanitized between bookings. I don’t think I’ll return. I’d rather spend my money on a proper 50-60 minute massage with clean and comfortable rooms."

"1st before my issue a huge shout out to my Esthetician Talitha was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and attentive to my skin and facial.. she is the reason I will come back. Highly recommend Talitha and my massage was great. Now my issue. I purchased 2 Bogos for Christmas for my sister and I to come in the spring. At no time was I told anything expired. I placed my ordered on the phone and nothing was mentioned. When I came in several weeks later to pick up the certificates. I was handed a envelope and then I left. No one opened it it front of me and no one said that it comes with expiry dates. When I got home I open the envelope but only briefly looked inside it. My fault on that , I should have been more thorough. Anyway I saw the first card that said June 30 expiry and just presumed both were same , until I booked the appointment in May for us to come in and at that time noticed one of them expired in April. I brought this to their attention as to why they would sell me 2 certificates at same time with different expiry when I said we would be coming together. They said it's just what we do and that someone should have let me know. No offer of discount or anything, I feel this is a very wrong way for a business to run. I ended up having to pay more for a service I though was already paid for. Very poor policy and very unhappy for this situation. People please be careful and read everything that you purchase from Hand & Stone. My second issue is the noise level is terrible, very hard to relax as you hear everyone talk and walk. Definitely need some sound proofing."

Winnie is always my massage therapist, and she is exceptional—professional, friendly, attentive, and she always makes me feel so relaxed. The front staff are always helpful and kind, and it’s so easy to book or adjust appointments, which makes the experience even better.
