The space is incredibly inviting and allows you to take your time cycling through the cold plunges, sauna, and lounge area. The facilitators are wonderful and really guide you through the experience. All the small details have been thought through and everything feels very intentional. Can’t wait to come back!"

"I’ve heard great things about this space being relaxing, clean, and encouraging mindfulness. However, when my friend with textured hair tried to take a shower, there were no shower caps available—even after inquiring at the front desk. Since Alter aims to create 'an approachable space where people feel safe, encouraged, and part of a community,' offering this accommodation would not only benefit everyone but also take an extra step toward making the space even more inclusive. So bring your shower caps before arriving to work"

"It was amazing- not too busy, Marcela and the front desk staff were amazingly kind (Marcela blended special snowballs with our suggested scents), the 2 temps for cold plunge, the awesome bucket shower function… everything was just simple and exactly what I like in a sauna. And oracle decks and tea at the end?!! Amazing."

"My new favourite spot in the city! The vibes are immaculate ✨ Music, ambience, scent, and even lighting is such a vibe. The sauna is spacious with deep seats and lots of air flow. By far the hottest sauna I’ve been in in Toronto. I love the communal ice baths. It makes it a lot easier, for me at least, having other people doing the plunge with me. If you’re not up for a plunge, you can always take advantage of the cold water bucket. The space is clean, everyone is so friendly, and I’m just really excited to be part of this community!"

After doing some surface level research on electrologists in the area, I sent a message through their website to Julie’s spa based on their incredible Google reviews to inquire about and coordinate a consultation. Right from the prompt email response I got from Julie (over the Easter break too I may add), the personable front desk staff and my electrologist, Megan, I had the absolute best experience! Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, efficient and the entire experience was nothing shy of euphoric. "Fantastic!!!! With age I was getting dark/thick hair on my chin. I started plucking and every other day I would feel it growing back. I looked into electrolysis and decided to try Julie and I am so happy!! After 4 or 5 treatments now and I have not had any growth for 2 months!! Beyond the electrolysis, Julie and her team are friendly, kind and welcoming. Her spa is a reflection of her beautiful spirit and energy - with love all around. Thank you!"

I went for a pedicure and the lovely lady took extra care of me, took her time and even explained what she was doing at each step because she knew it was first time. After this amazing experience I just had to come back to Julie's Spa for another service. I then got waxing done for the first time and the level of care I received was outstanding.
