"I've been to several nail technicians since my regular nail tech went on mat leave and always left disappointed. Kaylee did an amazing job on my nails. She was patient and took her time. I didn't feel like she rushed at all. I will definitely book with her again. My only reason as to why I didn't give all 5 stars was their cateye options were extremely slim. Other than that, there was no other issue"

"It’s been less than a week since I got my nails done here for the first time and all of the shellac nail polish is already lifting from my nails! Not to mention it looked sort of like okay, mediocre, but not great for the price you pay and that my nails were filed in completely different shapes and sizes on each hand - I only realized when I got home and had to file the nails on my right hand to match the left."

"Really disappointed by the quality of the bio gel set that I got done yesterday. I did a regular pedicure which was great but my nails look super mediocre for the amount of money that I spent. It’s a bit unclear in the photos but there are uneven parts on the gel and shellac once it dried. I also asked for matte with shiny tips but the tips are done so poorly, some of my nails have shiny parts dripping down my nails. Overall my experience at this location of Sixth Sense was disappointing. I prefer the Vaughn location."

"I don’t like to write bad reviews but here it is. I came in last minute for a mani , pedi on a mid afternoon Friday. I used to come here regularly before they changed ownership prior to Covid . Everyone was very pleasant so customer service was not an issue . The duo doing my mani / pedi were nice but clearly very green in terms of experience. The person doing my nails tore my cuticles apart and they were left swollen and now they are full of hangnails and shredded skin. As a result , I only tipped 15% and will not be coming back . There are 6 plus salons in this small pocket of Lawrence Park. We are not lacking here. Lesson learned. I won’t return."

"I had a deeply disappointing experience here back in December. I booked appointments for three people two weeks in advance. Just an hour before our scheduled time, I received a call asking to change the appointment. I explained that we were already on our way, and they assured me everything was fine. Upon arrival, it was clear they were severely understaffed and running over an hour behind schedule. Despite booking three appointments, they didn’t even have enough staff to accommodate us properly. Rather than taking responsibility, they offered a discount for a future visit—an offer I declined, as I made it clear we had no intention of returning after such a poor first experience. What was most frustrating was the lack of honesty and transparency. If they had simply been upfront during the initial phone call, we could have adjusted our plans. Instead, they tried to deflect and minimize the issue rather than taking accountability. Additionally, the water used during the service was ice cold, making the experience even more unpleasant. I followed up with a detailed email and left a voicemail to express my concerns, but never received any response. This lack of communication only reinforced the sense that customer care is not a priority here. Save your time and money—this business does not respect its clients' time or deliver a quality experience. There are many other spas that are more reliable and at the very least, understand the importance of warm water and basic professionalism."
