I got my face waxed. She did an excellent job and even offered a mineral powder to hide the redness as I was going out for the evening. Overall, wonderful experience. Keep up the good work. "Never been to this place before but i can tell from a little call that there customer service is so worse. Yesterday I called them to book an appointment for my hair color and the lady she said you are all booked in for 11:30am for the next day. For some reason i want to cancel my appointment and this salon opens at 9 am and i did called them before 9 am and told them to cancel my appointment and they did it too. But later at 11:30 am i got a call again from this lady and was telling me you didn’t show up and wanna charge you 50% cancellation fee. Don’t you guys think that you should let your customers know about these all kind of things before they book an appointment with you? And instead of listening to me she’s like you have to pay 50%. Excuse me? Why should i pay you when you’re the one who cancelled the appointment and didn’t said anything before? So this was a message to all the people who are booking the appointments with them just be extra cautious. Understood everyone wants to earn money but not like this fam…."

"I recently visited Core Salon and Spa and had a wonderful experience. The staff was welcoming and professional. I had hairstyling, threading, and a shampoo/conditioning treatment, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The hairstylist tailored the cut to suit my face shape, and the threading was quick and gentle. My hair feels incredibly soft and refreshed after the treatment. "Don’t go to Core if you are a senior. I used to be a regular there but have been gone for a few years. I tried to make an appt online but they never replied, so I called and was given a time for later in the week. Then I received an appt confirmation for a month later. I replied to tat email saying I was already booked. On the morning of that appt they called and cancelled. We rebooked for today (a week later). Then this morning, they called and cancelled this appt. It is obvious they don’t want your business if you are only asking for a simple cut. Meanwhile they wasted two weeks of my time."

"The amount of time and effort put into my hair my one of the so called Junior Stylists was amazing. She went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful for sisters wedding. She knew I had thin hair and was self conscious about it and she used products in my hair to completely hide this and make me feel like I had a beautiful head of hair. She took her time curling every piece with a small barreled iron to give it full volume and was so personable... We had many laughs and great conversation. Thank you so much Core... "Over the past few years, I have been to orthopaedic surgeons for my injured knee. I was always offered either cortisone injections or a knee replacement. Both were unacceptable. Last month at my appointment, I could hardly walk, unable to weight bear on my left knee and in extreme pain. Again, I was offered cortisone injections or a knee replacement. I refused due to side effects. A friend had told me about a new massage therapist she had. I decided to try the massage that very afternoon, being totally frustrated at the medical system. This new therapist was Todd. Fortunately, he had an appointment open for that very afternoon. So I basically went from the surgeons appointment to visit Todd for a massage. I walked into his studio unable to walk unaided and in extreme pain. I left an hour later walking normally and without pain. Almost 2 months later I am walking normally and without pain. Not only is Todd extremely skillful, but he has a great attitude. Need I say more!"

"Todd is a miracle worker. I'm an "older" amateur viola player and sometimes experience soreness in my upper and middle back. Todd's massage treatments usually make me feel that I'm walking on a cloud afterwards. Todd is always trying out new methods and I've been benefitting from his use of cupping on my back. At the last treatment he introduced the use of rock tape on my back, which resulted in an ease and relaxation of my upper back and shoulders that I have never experienced. "Initially thought it was a bit sketchy coz the way I was greeted/welcomed and that I had to pay (and even tip, but I asserted that I will after the service) before the service made me a bit uncomfortable. I booked for 1hr body massage coz my right shoulder and back was hurting (also it was my first day of period). I was told that it’s not good to get a massage while on your period but I don’t 100% believe it I could be wrong but I needed the massage so my muscles would relax and I would hopefully not get bad period cramps. Anyway, wasn’t really satisfied with the quality as she was very gentle knowing I was on my period but I liked that she gave me hot stones and that she’s nice."

"I purchased a gift card for my daughter-in-law. When she tried to book an appointment, they advised her they would not honour the gift card. The gift card clearly indicates that it does not expire, all gift card types are redeemable, etc. (attached is the fine print). I have no choice but to launch an investigation with my credit card company, and possibly the local police."

"I felt like a new woman after my appointment. I was gifted a Royal Treatment for my birthday and I left at a level of pampered relaxation that I haven't felt in a while. My masseuse took such good care of me - not just in skill, but in kindness, as well. Apparently, I left such glowing reviews about my experience, I was gifted another Royal Treatment for Christmas! I truly can't wait for my second appointment. Added note: I recommend parking in the municipal lot a block behind. The older neighbour next door was very abusive to me when I tried to park in the actual parking area. It was not a great way to start my appointment, but that's not the fault of Lucky Stone Wellness."
