"I came in for my first facial at Skoah super excited. My partner had bought me a gift card for our anniversary. I picked the power plus facial. The place is so clean and welcoming. The room setup is also really warm, comforting and relaxing. My favourite part of the facial was the extractions as I’ve never had someone really cleanse my pores and it was amazing. I came out with clean, glowing skin. The only thing I’m upset about is the power plus was supposed to include an LED light treatment or the ultrasonic wave treatment and I didn’t receive any? I’m unsure if the techs know what facial you book but maybe I was supposed to mention it? I’ll mention it next time as I’ll probably still return."

"these girls are so good at what they do. Gloria and Fantasy and all the other ladies are great at hydrating, exfoliating and helping extract some tricky spots I had. I had activated my membership online and realized they actually had a promotion involving a complimentary facial with in store activation. A quick call resolved this and management was very kind to let me still take advantage of this promotion without worry. Even their most basic facials are quite comprehensive and longer than other spas (45min instead if 30) and they have some great in house skin care products to browse. Membership is an unbeatable value for the relaxing facial you get - I’ve recommended to friends and we will be going in for a group booking. Totally worth your time!! update: after coming here for almost half a year my opinion has not changed, the manager here is accommodating and kind and the service is truly above and beyond."

"Overall: Medicare facial and probably will not go back. My friend really likes Skoah facials and I had a $25 voucher to use on a facial. I’m not new to facials but have never been to Skoah. I called and inquired about a few different facials and was told that they offer $20 off on a facial for first time customers. I was interested in a few of their facials including a Feb special facial and their yaletown promo facial which included a $50 credit on any serum purchase. The associate advised the $20 first time visit credit cannot be applied to the Yaletown promo since there is already a $50 credit. So with that info, I decided to book the February special which she confirmed the $20 off would be applied. Fast forward and I arrive for my facial and I’m told that because it’s a promo the $20 isn’t applied… even though she confirmed several times on the phone. I decided to stick to the facial anyways since I was already there. I understand if it cannot be applied to a promo, it’s the fact that it was confirmed several times on the phone before I booked that is annoying. The facial itself was very mediocre. I prefer facials where my face is steamed before extractions. Instead, a chemical exfoliate is used for a minute and then the manual extractions lasted maybe 2-3 minutes, and my pores didn’t feel cleaned out. Maybe others prefer this way, but not my preference. The facial I bought included a LED light mask which also lasted maybe 2 minutes as most… it was on while I got a quick hand massage. The rest of a facial is just them putting their product on your face then wiping it off. Service wise the girls are nice and friendly. When I went to pay it was a different girl helping me (different from check in) and said I’ll get a $20 off because it is my first time. I was confused at this point. But after trying to apply it she said it didn’t work because it was a feature facial. I’m not sure if this is the same girl who I originally spoke with on the phone, but it seems like some of the staff could benefit from more training on their offerings. As for the $25 voucher I got… I’ll let my friend have it."

"It was fine. Prices are a bit high. The woman who did my pedicure/manicure was very nice and good at what she did. Also they happen to get a mix up if you book multiple services online. For a whirlpool pedicure it may seem from description that they offer a lot but it is exactly same as any other pedicure place you will go for half the price. So maybe body treatments, facials and body massages might be worth it but not your regular manicure/pedicure."

"Booked online a spa package with an open time slot. Spa package was a little pricier ($360) but I originally was okay with it due to it being specific services I wanted in one. Then I was notified by email in LESS than 24 hours notice that my appointment was cancelled due to a scheduling conflict...not a phone call...which they had my number on file..an email which is a joke. Was not given future times of the next time I could book in the email either. Had to call 6 different times to get ahold of someone to try and rebooked. Dates are now quite a while away and honestly just seemed to be a mess. When asked just to refund the card it was first that they didn't know if it was a deposit or the whole amount. When I confirmed for sure it was whole amount I was still being questioned and say that they couldn't tell if it was the full amount or not. Even when I said I had proof they still couldn't tell and would call me back AND that it will take 10 business days to refund. No apology or anything until my husband had to get on the phone for me. I wouldn't recommend this unprofessional business to anyone and certainly will NOT be giving it another shot. Save your money or most importantly DONT BOOK ONLINE"
