I don’t know the guy’s name, he was very friendly and welcoming. He booked me in and also when I showed up a few minutes late, he was really accommodating. And The service pretty good. The price is also very fair. I would recommend anyone who lives around that area to go check it out."

"Four years ago I fell on my elbow- onto a hard cement floor. For 2 years it was stuck bent & very painful. Once the pain subsided and I was starting to use my arm again I noticed my shoulder felt as though it was dislocated. I put up with it through covid because I didn't want to go to the doctor.???? This past weekend I went for an hour long massage at U-SPA at Lansdowne Mall in Richmond. The Chinese masseuse didn't speak any English, but she seemed to zero in on my battered shoulder. She kept pressing on it & saying "peen" - "tear"..."peen..peen..tear." After 15 mins of this torture I went home exhausted. The next day my shoulder blade was bruised where she was pressing & massaging; but the day after that my shoulder was fixed. It felt as though 5 lbs was lifted off my back; I am able to lift my arm completely over my head without any pain now. I highly recommend Judy at U-Spa in Richmond; if you have aches & pains that need fixing? Judy is a miracle worker. No website to share sorry. Namaste"

"I have been to see Sonny 2x and I must say that her treatment have been very therapeutic for me. She applied a firm and medium pressure and she covered all exposed parts of my body. This is great because far too often, my hands and feet don't get any attention. I left feeling rejuvenated and I'll be back to try other staff as well. I gave it 4 stars because they're were a few interruptions to answer the door or talk to coworkers."

"The massage is great quality and strong. The masseuse is skilled at what they do. Here is the caveat: Due to lower than market price charged by the establishment, you will not be able to claim your benefits due to its cash pricing. The cut of your fee to the masseuse is also lower than other places. Therefore they will expect you to tip more to earn a living wage. You the customer are expected to make up the difference. If they feel you tipped less than expected, they will ask you for more. After reading the reviews and experiencing it myself, it's clearer how their business model works. The place is clean,well kept, and relaxing atmosphere. If I come back here again, I have to follow protocols of calling ahead to make an appointment, pay cash and higher tips, not claim any benefits and be polite by accepting their business model to avoid issues."

"When we called to book the appointment for three people and asked for the price, the lady on the phone said, "$40 plus tips", which was a little upfront but fine. When we got there, the ambiance of the place was really nice and calming. The ladies who gave us the reflexology were great! They really tried to provide excellent customer service. We were not happy, however, at the end when the owner was taking the payment and said "$40 plus $10 tip". I thought this was unprofessional. I don't think anyone should tell you how much to tip...??? I found the situation really awkward and didn't feel like arguing after a really nice massage, so we paid. However, I will definitely not be coming back to this place. It's really unfortunate because we would have come back if not for this incident. To the owner: just be upfront with your pricing and don't tell me what to tip."

Puts her phone down next to me and would continue to text with the other hand Then she leaves the room and comes back chewing on something and I could smell her breath which stank. She sometimes includes Thai Massage into the session. Her room is really nice and she’s a super nice person. I highly recommend Michelle for your next massage."

"I am very much someone who is hesitant of seeing new hair stylists due to some bad past experiences. Prior to moving to Ottawa I would drive over an hour to get my hair cut by a stylist I trusted…so I was admittedly anxious at first when I booked in at West Side. I chose to get my hair cut by Anna after scouring Google reviews and I am so happy I chose West Side and her. I LOVE how she cut my hair and all the patience she provided—I’m very much one of those people who knows vaguely what they want but doesn’t know what will necessary work for their hair, so I imagine that does not make the process easy. Overall, if I could give 10/5 stars I would! I love how she styled it at the time and how my hair falls naturally right now and the overall feel of it!"

I chose Dilpreet based on her work from her socials because we wanted layers for her and she did an amazing job! Dilpreet was so warm, friendly, and kind when communicating with my stepdaughter. My stepdaughter is typically shy but Dilpreet made her so comfortable that she wanted to give her a hug when she was done ????. "I really enjoyed my time at west side spa for the calming atmosphere, friendly staff and little extras like the tea and cookies. Jacinta did a partial highlight on me, then cut and styled my hair. It turned out fabulous and I’m very pleased with how it looks (especially the bangs). Due to my hair being previously coloured, it took a couple rounds of toner to achieve the desired look — Jacinta really took her time to make sure she got it right. What stood out to me the most was the camaraderie between the staff. They seem to really support one another in a genuine way which contributes to the pleasant atmosphere of the salon. The stylists are talented and take the time to address your hair concerns. I would personally recommend Yana as she is very down to earth and very patient. They also offer haircuts. Joy is amazing with kids and does a really nice job with their hair. They do offer other spa services but I haven't personally tried them."

"Whenever I treat myself to a manicure or pedicure, Forbes is my absolute favourite place to go. Both Laura and Paige do amazing work, and it's clear that they genuinely love their jobs and interacting with their clients. They both always greet me by name and ask about things they remember I had going on in my life. I leave feeling relaxed and refreshed, and can't stop looking at my pretty nails (which continue to look good for three to four weeks, thanks to the great shellac application). Also have tried sugaring, eyelash extensions and a facial here, and would highly recommend any and all of their services."
