Was attended by Ms. May - it was half hour back massage and was good. 30m @ 42 CAD Nice clean business with good staff - highly recommended them. December 5th 2024: Had a very good massage by Ms. Nata - will try to come again. I strongly recommend this business. Feb 14th 2025:- Bowie was very knowledgeable and experienced- I have so many painful regions in neck shoulders and lower back and she handled very well. Strongly recommend this business."

"The young man who did my massage was wonderful. It was hard to communicate with staff due to the language barrier. I felt bruised to the touch the next couple of days, but honestly, I felt amazing afterward. Broke up all my knots in my back. I'll definitely be back."

"I have been going to Shannon for coming on 3 months on a weekly basis, I had a car accident back in December and was only allowed 2 visits through insurance to see someone. I’m so blessed to have found Shannon that has neurological training as I have MS and the accident triggered a lot of old activity in my body. She works wonders. I don’t know for how long this will be required but I’m certainly grateful she’s the one fixing me one appointment at a time. She’s so talented to listening to my body, which is always quite disturbed."

"My husband and I had been looking for a massage therapist for a long time that would understand us and treat us individually for our back pain. My husband having lower back pain and me having upper back/shoulder pain. We googled momentum massage and came by it by fluke. I was hesitant at first. So we visited their website and my husband and I said we could both decide a massage therapist we would go see. We both wanted Brandy from her profile. So we settled at booking separate times with her. Upon our first visit, we both left so happy we finally found a massage therapist that understood both of our aches and pains. Right then and there, we booked our next visit. We had our second massage visit today, and me being someone very peculiar, I am so happy with our second visit, my husband included. I didn't want to mention Brandy's name personally as we want to be able to book as freely as we could wish but she's that amazing that she books up quite quickly and far in advance."

"I’ve been a loyal customer of this spa for few years, frequently visiting with my family for facials, massages, manicures/pedicures, and eyebrow threading. The staff has always been friendly, and the atmosphere is calming and clean, which kept us coming back. However, over time, we noticed a decline in the overall quality of the services, which eventually led us to stop visiting. This became especially evident during our last few visits. My family and I, particularly my mom, felt that the massages were rushed, with certain areas being missed entirely. This was a significant disappointment for us, as we had previously enjoyed more thorough and relaxing experiences. During one of my last manicures, I chose the same fast-drying polish I’ve used before (and paid extra for), but it chipped off within a couple of hours. I called the spa, and they kindly offered a same-day touch-up with another aesthetician. However, when I mentioned the issue to the staff member who typically worked on my nails, it felt like my concerns were brushed aside, and unfortunately, the polish didn’t last long after that session either. Additionally, while booking in advance is often necessary, it became increasingly difficult to secure appointments that fit our schedules. Even when we did manage to book, rescheduling could sometimes mean waiting a month for the next available slot, which was frustrating. Ultimately, these service inconsistencies led us to stop visiting. I truly hope the spa can address these issues, as we had many great experiences in the past and would love to see them return to the high standards they once had."

"Let’s just say, I CAN’T get into the energy of 2024 without giving This review! My first experience was an in person visit, and I was convinced to make an appointment sometime for a special occasion. A few weeks later, I looked them up online, read good reviews and dialled to make an appointment for a Retreat Massage for the occasion of my Birthday! Similar to the experience of another review, the lady at the reception was not very enthusiastic about making a new appointment, only a few days in advance, as they are ‘generally booked well-ahead’ and could only offer a 90 or 60 mins facial instead of 90 mins Full body massage. Well, it was my birthday and I wanted to feel good and special so, for the similar price, yeah I wholeheartedly went ahead and booked it. On the day of the appointment, I called them in the morning and informed that I might be late by 10–15 minutes as a birthday surprise popped up. After reaching at the reception, I quickly changed the footwear and was taken to the changing room & given a form to fill that I filled within 3-4 mins. I awaited for a knock in that room for over 15 mins. Was taken to the massage room where I settled-in rather uncomfortably for the facial. I complained about the tension in my neck to the aesthetician as well but that was to no relief. Over Half way through my 90 mins facial, I sensed this process is coming to an end but hold on!! what about my lips? They haven’t event been touched as part of my facial’ So I softly asked my aesthetician ‘wouldn’t lips be massaged?’ And she responded ‘oh no, since you were late, we had to skip that part’ and my brain was like ‘sorry, what?!’ She ‘informed’ me that it takes a few minutes for them to make in house lip scrub and that wasn’t done. She also clarified that this will be adjusted in the final bill. So here I am, getting a facial for OVER 165$ on my birthday to relax and feel good and my brain and body is gripping in feelings of betrayal by the service provider. She finished the massage and applied some greasy petroleum jelly on my lips which I wiped off within a few mins (you can see my lips on the next day. Peeling off. Cracking. Felt burning sensations.) It gets worse after the facial, as the aesthetician leaves the room without saying a word on after facial care or if she has applied the sunscreen or not (it’s 1pm), or just about checking if all’s fine because she was done!! I left the facial room after waiting a few mins andchanged into my clothes. As though there was anything left to be disappointed with, I was in for yet another horrible sight of a dirty toilet and there it was! Edmonton City’s Best Spa with poor hygiene at the peak of weekday daytime. Uff. I ran my way to another thankfully, a clean one. I was fairly billed for a 60 mins facial instead of 90 mins. For an unfair, unhygienic, unkind & unhappy experience. My ONLY REGRET of the spectacular Birthday celebration I had on 14th Nov 2023 is CHOOSING Urban Retreat for a facial that day; draining me energetically and monetarily."

"The work and attention they put into clients is wonderful. You are met with a warm attitude and a smile and expert levels of professionalism…….accept the front desk. Holly cow , that lady at the front made me feel like I was trash and that shouldn’t be there. I was directly insulted for paying cash so I ran out before even taking my receipt. Maybe she’s just having a bad day?…. I love Urban Retreat and all they do, but I’ll be taking a break for a while until they find someone new. Yikes ????"

"I received a spa package from my husband for Christmas and was able to use it today. I solo parent close to 85% of the time and don't get a lot if any "me" time so when I say this was needed it was very needed. The spa opened up early so I could fit in all the treatments (steam shower, full body wrap/treatment, facial and spa manicure - oh yah and I got lunch too!) The whole experience was absolutely incredible and I felt very spoiled all day long. Every one that worked on me took the time to explain it all, I did not feel rushed through any of it and I'm pretty sure I lost count of how many times I fell asleep lol The staff were professional, kind, friendly and made the whole experience incredible! I will recommend this spa over and over again!"

"I recently had FRAX and IPL laser treatment for my aging face.  I was skeptical, and was certainly not expecting the results that I got!  I had significant sun damage from unprotected tropical holidays and years of neglecting my skin. I’d tried various creams over months, with no change.  But the results from these laser treatments were rapid and very significant! In less than two weeks, my freckles had faded and my age spots disappeared completely. It’s taken years off my skin and can now go without make-up again, but I will wear SPF!  Jocelyn was professional and very informative. "I have been getting my gel nails done here for over a year. I couldn't be happier with the care Adriana takes with my fills. There is virtually no lifting and I only have to go every 4 weeks. If it weren't for nail growth, I could probably go longer between appointments. The nails are not thick at all and look very natural. These photos are just a few of the great looks I've had!"

"It was my first time coming and sadly will not be returning. I came in for a hot stone pedi and was expecting above and beyond service but I was left disappointed. 1) the seating in the pedi room is very uncomfortable my back and especially lower back were incredibly sore 2) the lady preforming my service was nice but stabbed me one my left toe and cut me on my right toe 3) I asked for a french pedi and shellac and was VERY disappointed this is probably my biggest complaint I paid a pretty large sum to not get a proper french done. The lines were all different sizes ALL OF THEM - not one matched the opposite toe or even on the same foot. It looked like someone who had no experience did the job! Not to mention my toe was bumped and I told her that some of the clear polish had been ruined and she just painted another coat over top - it ended up leaving a big divot which was noticeable. The shellac I got maybe lasted 2 weeks and started chipping at the top - she also did not file my toe nails properly leaving one side of my nails longer than the other side. 4) the massage - what massage? I paid extra for the hot stone massage but didn’t see the added benefit I get pedicures pretty regularly and have been doing them since I was 8 years old so yea I’m picky and know what a good pedicure is. But I have had higher quality work done in a walk in salon than here which is very sad because I’m looking to avoid walk in establishments but if I’m coming and dropping $120 plus tip on a service I can get cheaper and better somewhere else. My search continues for a good pedicurist"
