"The place is fine. Receptionist is polite. The room where I had my massage was comfortable. The relaxing music was playing but the passing vehicles on the street was heard too loud. The masseuse was good. The massage was great however there was no other interaction like introducing herself. The only word she said was "Done". And that's it. I still gave a tip. No coffee or tea was offered. They only have water and the water dispenser was empty! And the washroom is outside the spa."
"Good place. Had a Groupon and it was worth it. Mina was pretty friendly and she did a great job. I wish she could be little bit more personable as she didn't speak much English which made it little bit harder to communicate but other than that she did a fantastic job."
"Like everyone - it’s clean and receptionist is nice. The massage was middle range for me. I have better and worst. $91 for 90min is pretty reasonable. I put a 20% tip. But was solicited to put $25 down. I don’t blame people for advocating for tips, and as a tipper I do find it annoying when people ask. In Seattle there’s a cheap foot massage place and I make sure tips aren’t by percentage."
"I am very impressed by the highly professional staff and the excellent massage that I found to be highly beneficial in relieving my sciatica pain. My therapist Mina is very knowledgeable, skillful and extremely courteous. She works hard for every minute of my 90-minute session to ensure my pain areas are being worked on with genuine care and attention. She communicates with me to ensure I am comfortable with her level of strength applied. Excellent caring service. Highly recommended."
"Clean facility , went for a massage and facial but massage was more a gentle rub and facial was unexceptional. Went I went to pay the person who did the massage was ringing me I up and added a $30 tip without my permission! Strange that they’d be assumptive. I wouldn’t recommend."
"The massage was very good. The price is excellent. Best in the neighborhood. I was asked to pay before the massage which was fine. I added tip to the transaction. I did not appreciate being asked for more tip at the end. The masseuse kinda got mad at me when I wouldn't give more. NOT a way to do business!! I will still go back but just be aware of the tip issue."
"My partner and I live in the area and we decided to support the local businesses around us. We booked a massage here and we have never experienced such unprofessional service at a spa before. Our appointment was booked for 6pm and we arrived 5mins early. When we were placed in our own rooms at the first glance the room was not that bad and there was relaxing music playing. HOWEVER the walls were so thin you could hear everything like there were no walls. It was so bad that it was cancelling out the music in the room to help you relax. Our masseuses then enters and start by 6:10 pm because they all were in the front laughing and chatting away, because both of our rooms were in front of the receptionist. Once the masseuse started I tried to relax and tune into the music to help me BUT 10min into the massage the lady stopped and opened the door to chit chat and laugh with one of the employees for a couple mins, and same goes for my partners masseuses. I wanted to leave but they already started and I was hoping after that it would get better but I was wrong. I tried multiple times to relax my body but it was so chaotic that towards the end I was truly disappointed and upset with the unprofessional staff that I just wanted to leave ASAP, but it got worse. The staff requested for "cash only" which I was ok with but due to the experience my partner and I had we did not want to tip because not only did we not get a full hour but also because the staff were unprofessional. After giving my payment in FULL, I had expressed my concerns with the experience and wanted to provide feed back respectfully but they ignored our feedback and concern and stated that "WE NEED TO LEAVE A TIP" because they made me feel like bad I gave them a $5 tip but NO they ASKED FOR AT LEAST $20 tip per masseuse. I tapped my partner signaling him that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave ASAP so we left and did not even engage."
"Went here today for a 2 hr massage, and it was honestly the weirdest 2hrs of my life. From the very beginning, I told the masseuse not to touch my tailbone due to an injury, yet she applied so much pressure on it 3x. The entirety of the massage she was mainly using her elbows, which I found strange. At one point, I asked her to go lighter on the pressure because I couldn't tolerate the pain anymore, she just said ok and didn't change the pressure at all. At the very end of my massage, she was using this weird technique of punching me all of my body. I asked for a head massage, but instead she was hitting my head? I don't think that's normal. Anyways, I obviously didn't give a tip since it was such a bad experience and she confronted me about it."
"Sophie is an exceptional Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in the industry. Her meticulous approach ensures that clients receive a comprehensive and thorough massage, leaving no room for any lingering tension or baggage. Unfortunately, the availability of skilled RMTs is limited, and there are instances when their genuine honesty is palpable during the massage. While I appreciate her expertise, I am hesitant to engage in this practice as it may jeopardize my ability to secure a future appointment."
"Ate Janet Mejares is one of the best massage therapists in town. She takes the time to explain scoliosis to me and works diligently to relieve tight muscles. Not only is she highly skilled, but she’s also very friendly and kind. I highly recommend visiting her for a truly relaxing experience."
"Gifted Hands Therapy is an exceptional place for anyone seeking professional and effective care. I am particularly impressed by the outstanding work of Levi Baylon. Levi is incredibly conscientious, and it is clear that he genuinely cares about his patients. Every massage session with Levi is not only relaxing but also therapeutic. He pays close attention to individual needs and ensures that every treatment is tailored to provide maximum benefit. His expertise and dedication make a noticeable difference. The entire environment at Gifted Hands Therapy is welcoming and professional. I highly recommend Levi and the team for anyone in need of quality therapy and exceptional care!"
"Monica has been a fantastic support for my running recovery, and I highly recommend her! Her treatments have been incredibly helpful for relieving leg cramps, knee pain, and chronic tension in my upper back. She is extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain her approach, which makes every session comfortable. The direct billing process is easy and there is customer parking available underground. If you’re looking for an acupuncturist who genuinely cares and provides great results, Monica is the best choice!"
"I have been in many massage therapy sessions in the lower mainland, nothing like Levi. The entire team in this branch is so friendly, respectful, and accommodating. Seriously ask for “Levi”. Especially if you have some chronic pain."
"Dr. Marasigan gives the absolute best care and takes her time to really explain everything well. The rest of the team there was also very kind and welcoming!"
"Very Good Place to have a Massage ! My Therapist JOBO did an excellent job in relieving my stress and pain.Would visit again and highly recommended!"
"It was really awesome experience for me and I must recommend to have a session with Ms Cytrus Machuca- Yung who had opened up all my soar muscles and made it feel like a heaven. Must recommended, would rate 10 on 10"
"Amazing place to go for massage, the owner is really nice and kind, she is really good in her job. You can just call up in their posted number and she will book your appointment. She is flexible for scheduling too, so if you are in area, I must recommend going in this place for massage and have a great experience like us. ❤️❤️????????"
"She is great at what she does. I was very comfortable, the prices are good, and I enjoyed the Thai massage!"
"Super sweet & super nice, the atmosphere is also really quite lovely; however, based on previous Thai massages I've had, this massage was too gentle."
"Amazing deep tissue! Downtown really needed a Tai massage spot. The owner used to work at another place before I’m really happy to see her start her own business"
"Great atmosphere. Amazing massage. Adjusts treatment to your disfunction. Highly recommend."
"Amazing... best message In town /iv ever had and what sweet and caring owner she definitely knows exactly where to work ...my new favorite place"
"Awesome Thai massage!!! Highly recommend! Best massage in years!!!"
"Amazing services and lovely staff"
"Best massage I have had in a long time, would highly recommend her, Linnaea listens to her clients' needs and is very knowledgable"
"I had a good experience at the spa, weather was great for the beginning of November! Drinks and food were great, easy directions to arrive. Staff were friendly, locker rooms were clean. Robes did not stay dry long and once wet they just became heavy and did not dry in between pools. One thing I could suggest would be to have more hanging options for your robes at the pools. I enjoyed a facial and it was very relaxing and would definitely do it again!"
"Attention, Attention Attention! Beautiful location, perfect local getaway even for a couple of hours, excellent facilities and the venue is spacious. A few attempts and you would be able to familiarize yourself on the map. Regrettably I have to inform the public that my boyfriend and I had a terrible experience when it came to customer service. Our massages wasn't sustainable at all , on both sides. I kindly ask Ken (my masseuse) to optimize the pressure and he just completely disregard my question. It felt as if he was caressing, it was an undelivered therapeutic massage. I would never recommend getting a massage there , it was the same experience for my boyfriend. Situation worsened as we left our rooms to go change into our regular attire. There was a young lady at the front desk who consistently kept on asking us to pay while we were in our robes thinking that we walked with our bags into the massage rooms. We had to explain to her multiple times that we needed to go to the locker room and we will pay on our departure. She followed us all over the facility until she finally decided to charge my card without my consent. (Maybe she felt we were going to escape without making a payment) This was odd to me as you have to give your credit card info in order to book a session. I personally wanted to use a different method of payment and preferred to have paid and make it a surprise for my boyfriend but she didn't allow for this to happen, she was antagonizing and condescending in so many ways. There is more to the story however I would prefer to keep it short, this experience made me and my boyfriend very uncomfortable as we are also people of color and we didn't want to jump to conclusions but she sure did try to make us feel that way. I wish I had asked for her name . I will work towards figuring out her shift that day and make a complaint against her."
"Koena is great for the cost and proximity to the city! It’s small but hasn’t created any issues regarding being too packed. I usually turn to Koena for more regular outings and save other more expensive spas for more special occasions. I wish there was a membership option!"
"Great alternative to Spa Nordik in Chelsea area especially on a weekday at 6 pm attractive lower prices for you to enjoy 6-10pm visit as a couple or with friends to relax and rejuvenate. Sauna essential oils rituals 7:30 and 8:30pm , very cold 11 degrees Celsius pool dip right after. Dinner at the restaurant has nice menu, we enjoyed salmon, chicken , house salad and truffle fries. Delicious. Great value for money $ for an evening visit. We edited the older review because Koena expanded and added fantastic new features , I had to add new content and pictures! Even better than they were a year ago, we come here every month or two , you have to try it! Don’t forget to have lunch or dinner and massage to add up to your relaxation day!"
"My wife and I recently visited Koena Spa for what we hoped would be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. For the most part, the day lived up to our expectations. The facilities were clean, the ambiance was serene, and we truly enjoyed the pools and steam rooms. It was exactly the escape we needed—until the very end. After a long day of unwinding, we decided to shower and freshen up before leaving. However, the experience took a sour turn when we encountered a staff member with short, blonde, purple hair at the front desk. She rudely questioned my wife about returning her towel and robe, which were both soaking wet from our day at the spa. Now, let me set the scene: after showering and washing off chlorine, one expects to leave feeling fresh and dry. Yet, we were expected to carry a wet, heavy robe and towel back to the front desk. When my wife politely explained that the towel and robe were saturated and she was now dry, the staff member condescendingly insisted that she must bring them to the front. My wife’s response summed up the absurdity of the situation perfectly: “You want me to carry a soaked wet towel and robe, which weighs a few pounds in water, in my dry and cleaned self, to the front? That will make you happy?” The dismissive attitude and lack of understanding from the staff member left a bad taste in our mouths. After spending the day relaxing, this unnecessary and unpleasant interaction was not what we anticipated. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced us to save our money and take our business to Nordik Spa instead. Koena Spa, if you’re reading this, please reconsider your policies—or at least train your staff to communicate them with more empathy. No guest should leave feeling disrespected after what’s supposed to be a day of relaxation."
"We re-visited Koena Spa and had a generally pleasant experience. The spa itself is quaint, serene, well-appointed, and can be truly relaxing. The ambiance is mainly peaceful, with calming scents and soft lighting that set the perfect tone for a rejuvenating experience. The staff were present trying to control the many celebratory groups. We really enjoyed our massages and facial services. Comparison: If you enjoy Nordic, know it is not the same experience. As silly as wanting to change up a wet robe it will be an additional $9 per person. Towel replacements are endless? Only 1 indoor tight cafeteria style bar, so be ready to wait for your drink. Why is there no outdoor option or waiter service. The lost star - as a customer you get to experience the level of miscommunication between the Cartier Hotel (where we stayed) and the spa. It really left a bad taste once again. Consider only booking the spa without the hotel or not at all and go to Nordic as Carter and Koena like to play with your time going back and forth from one counter to the other. I will be leaving a first time ever 2 star review for the Chateau Cartier Hotel."
"Absolutely beautiful! I was curious about this place, and decided to give it a try. The facilities are super clean, the staff is friendly and when I visited, it was not crowded. I highly recommend this place to people who are looking to treat themselves for a relaxing time at an affordable price!"
"Really enjoyed our time there and the restaurant options are amazing. We had issues with the locker in the change room but the overall experience was great. Would definitely go back."
