"I went one time before and my nails were great but this time, I had the most terrible experience! First, I asked for a certain design and I was told they couldn’t do the colour but can do the design but they speak so bad, even in English, that it was the opposite!!! So I chose a different colour and the design … well, you’ll see ! Then, I felt burned many many times and I would twitch under the pain. The nail technician didn’t change his technique. I realized today, which is the next day, that this guy filed the sides of my nails down to my skin !!! He also cut many of my cuticules, while using the e-file. I had a very hard time to hide my disappointment. I’m doing my nails at home from now on, this is not worth it. I can’t believe I paid 75$ for this."

"Paid for a manicure which included an additional charge to remove my dip nails. Generally removal involves use of the electric nail file to remove the first few layers then soak the remaining with remover and foil. Instead they used an acrylic nail to wedge and rip the dip off which was extremely painful, damaged my nails underneath and also was very messy, parts of the dip that flew off almost landed in the lady besides me purse. If you’re going to charge for removal I suggest doing it correctly or if this is their version of dip removal, it’s just not the place for me as I could’ve ripped them off myself at home"

I got really scared to say anything seeing their behavior !! (Henry was the person’s name not sure whether it is his original name) He had multiple wounds on his hand was not wearing a glove while doing the service! The service was also ridiculously expensive. Absolutely unacceptable behavior and poor customer service.Save your money and find a better place with good customer care. I will never go back here again!"

"I am very disappointed of the service I received. I had a new employee doing my nails. She was very nice, but clearly didn’t receive a formation. I got a manicure and pedicure with shellac and it took 1h30min. People who got fake nails and pedicure started after me and finished at least 30min before me. Nobody came to help her even after they saw it took so much time. What it most disappointing is the result is really not worth 80$. I told the person at the front I was not satisfied and showed her my nails but she didn’t offer any discount. She said she would fix it but it didn’t change the results at all.The pictures were taken 30min after finishing the appointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone."

"Easily booked a two hour massage in advance before traveling in for a work trip. Location was easy to find and ambiance was peaceful. Staff were friendly and kind. They actually had a long time customer wrap up and leaving while I was waiting and it was great to see how they took interest in their customers. Massage was a great experience and worked out knots I hadn't expected. Will definitely return next time I'm in town."

"Pur Balance is a special experience, from the minute you walk in the door to the time when you have to reluctantly leave. The reception area is welcoming, spatious yet cozy, and comfortable and the receptionist greeted me warmly and sparked up a delightful conversation while I waited. She took my jacket and directed me where I could remove my shoes to put on slippers that I did not want to give back. The therapist was very professional and friendly and made sure she understood the reason for my visit. The establishment itself is very clean and quite nicely decorated. It's clear that the owner knows that the atmosphere and setting is also an important part of the treatment experience. It's maybe a bit more expensive but, IMO, it's worth a small premium to have a complete experience rather than just 'a massage'. That being said, the massage itself was full value. I like a DEEP tissue massage and I got that in spades, but I also received a bit of an education about the muscle groups and what was going on and how the deep tissue massage was helping to repair the muscles. This was first time at Pur Balance but i felt like I was treated like a long-time and valued client from start to finish. I am looking forward to my next treatment."
